In case you chose the latter, and as a mini note for a bit of backstory and a warning for anyone who needs it, this was initially written solely for two reasons. One, my friend. Two, a lack of fanfiction I noticed for Break In.
I came up with the idea of "In The Past" during a conversation with a friend, where, after we managed to obtain the Origin Ending, we ran to DMs to immediately theorize about it, having one of our "theorizing sessions," as I often put it. In it, she brought up what Larry's perspective must have been like with his implied history in Break In with everything that the ending revealed lore-wise, and I ran with it to the point I practically wrote a short story about it.
And she liked it, too, mentioning how she would like to see a story based on it if it was a thing, for example, on Wattpad. So, here we are. One thing to note is that during our "theorizing sessions," it's become common for us to create new headcanons along the way.
As such, though not prominent (most of the time, anyway), there will be some of that included in the story (especially since the barebones canonical lore of the series is a bit too, say, small for it not to be boring for me to strictly write with it in mind with nothing else on top to make it more interesting). So, if you're here for a fanfic that strictly complies with canon, this story is not for you. Some dialogue throughout (specifically from the Origin Ending) will be (slightly) altered, so there's that. You have been warned and cautioned.
Plus, it's been about a year since I've written fanfiction, so the writing in this may or may not be clumsy. Finally, headcanon names will be a thing, if only to make it easier for me to write this and differentiate everyone (specifically the Roles/Classes), especially in some chapters.

(By the way, all of the kid roles will also be Preston and Margaret's children in this, Matthew and Anthony being their biological children, and the rest foster/adopted. Willow and Nicole will also be biological sisters because why not.)
