Chapter 2: Setting Up Christmas At Camp Amazon For The Holidays and Advice

The next day, Xena and Gabrielle are driving to Camp Amazon when Gabrielle asks, "So, have you thought about how we're going to ask Maxie about the baby situation?"

Xena sighs and says, "This just boggles my mind that she even thought up the idea of having a baby with Joxer!"

"Mine too." Gabrielle says as she starts to laugh. Xena quickly glances at her and asks, "What are you laughing about?"

"Can you just imagine if they do have a baby, what it would be like!" Gabrielle says.

Xena looks down the road, laughs a bit and says, "Very eventful, that's for sure!"

"Joxer teaching the little tyke his signature song!" Gabrielle says as she starts to laugh a little harder.

"Maxie though, better not teach the kid how to use explosives!" Xena says.

"That's for sure!" Gabrielle says. "So, have you thought about how we're going to approach her on the subject?"

"I have to think a little bit more about it." Xena says. "We can't gang up on her."

"No, no we can't." Gabrielle says. "I know, while we're helping out Ephiny and Cyane decorate, let's get their opinion."

"They'll think we're thinking about adopting or something." Xena says.

"And we're not ready for that yet." Gabrielle says. "But we do need a second opinion though." Gabrielle says.

"Should we just say the Joxer's girlfriend brought up the idea of them having a baby and he froze." Xena says.

"And he wants us to talk to her about it!" Gabrielle says. "I think it may work."

Xena and Gabrielle pull into the camp's warehouse parking lot and see Ephiny and Cyane juggling packages out of the trunk of their van.

"Now we have to be casual about this." Xena says as they get out of the Jeep. "Here sis, let us help!"

Xena, Gabrielle, Ephiny and Cyane bring packages inside the camp. "So, where do you want these?" Xena asks.

Just set the packages down right there." Ephiny says pointing to the media room door.

Xena and Gabrielle set the packages down and Gabrielle says, "Don't you want the other Amazons to help with this? Not that we don't mind helping you two with this. We love Christmas!"

"Well, most of the Amazons will be here for Christmas. Artemis is still searching for new recruits and those who won't be here will be with their families during the holidays." Cyane says with a smile. "We just want all of our Amazons to feel appreciated and loved!"

"Cool." Xena says smiling.

Walking into the camp doors are Ash and Swift, the newest recruits for before. They see the four and Ash says, "Queen Ephiny, Cyane, do you need help at all?"

"I think we got it." Cyane says.

"Are you sure?" Swift asks. "You know we are happy to help."

"Our newbies here just love to help the tribe!" Ephiny says, smirking.

"I see this." Xena says giggling a bit.

"So, Xena, Gabrielle, did you enjoy hanging with us!" Ash says.

Ephiny and Cyane look at Xena and Gabrielle strangely and Xena says, "Yeah, yeah we did."

"When did you two hang out with our newbies?" Ephiny asks.

"Remember at the naming ceremony!" Gabrielle says covering for Xena and her.

"Oh yeah! That's right!" Cyane says.
