"Harvey, please, it's our two year wedding anniversary," Beca pleaded, "it won't kill you to just take the week off, so that we can go somewhere."
"Rebecca, I already told," Harvey said, not taking his eyes off the computer screen, "I've got some really important stuff going on at the firm at this moment, I can't just drop everything for us to go on a trip."
"I know," the girl simply said, "that's why I've already spoken to Donna and Jessica, and made sure it wouldn't do much damage to the firm if you left for about a week, before I called the pilot and told him we would be going to Paris tomorrow at 9 am."
Finally he looked up from the screen.
"What did you just say?" Beca could sense rage through the man's words.
"I said that-" the girl began to repeat herself, but was cut short by her husband.
"Who gave you the right to go over me, disregard everything I had said, and do this, Rebeca, huh?" Harvey's voice increased.
"I thought it would be nice to surprise you on our anniversary," Beca was on the verge of tears by this moment, "it's just that with everything that's going on at the firm, I never get to spend time with you anymore."
"I don't care what went through your head to make you feel that this was a good idea." Harvey shouted and the girl took a step back. "I already told you and I'm telling you again, I'm not going with you, feel free to go on your own."
And with that Harvey grabbed his coat and exited their apartment, slamming the front door shut.
Rebeca felt as if someone had just grabbed her heart and was now smashing it.
She couldn't see how what she did was that horrible, he had done it to her countless times - calling her boss and asking her if it was okay for Beca to be gone for how long he wanted, and then surprising his wife with a trip - so why was that when she dedicated her time to planning, packing and making sure everything would work out fine, she was the wrong one?
After several minutes she spent questioning herself, Beca decided to just let Harvey calm down and go to sleep, she was sure he would come to his senses and would meet her at the jet the next day.
So that's what she did, the girl got ready for bed, made sure she had packed anything they would need for the trip - such as Harvey's headache pills, chargers, etc - and once she was done, beca laid on her side of the bed and after a few, twisting and turning, minutes she eventually slept.

After he exited the apartment, Harvey didn't know where to go or what to do.
He knew that the way he behaved with his wife was wrong, but he was too blinded by stress and rage to apologize and admit that she was right and he was wrong. Therefore, he decided that he would do his best to keep his cold-hearted posture, and assumed that she would come around once she realized that he really wasn't going on the trip.
So he went to the firm and decided to do the only things he was certain it would calm him down and take his head off the fight he just had with his wife.
Work.

"Someone's in early I see," Donna called once she arrived at the office, "trying to get some work done before going to Paris?"
"I'm not going." Harvey simply said without even glancing at his secretary.
"What do you mean you're not going?" The redhead almost shouted. "I cleaned your entire week's schedule so that you would be able to go."
