part 1 - readying up.

Ren : sir, the enemy has arrived with a large army, what should we do?

Shou was gazing at his sword, admiring it's sharp blades and it's long handle when his aide, reynard told him about the developments.

Shou: send an observer to the top of the cliff, order him to estimate the amount of soldiers who are present in their army and the kind of formation they have taken.

Ren: alright sir, I will order akin to do the following task.

Shou: and also send rizen to the meeting grounds so that we could negotiate and settle our misunderstanding, if there are any.

Ren: yes sir I will make sure rizen goes and inform them about our arrival to the meeting grounds.

Shou: fine.

The observer akin, ran over to the cliff with a magnifying scope to look over and estimate the amount of soldiers present and the formation they are taking on.

Shou decides to go to his royal tent to prepare for any surprise attacks.

As shou is walking towards his royal tent in the middle of the soldier resting tents, he remembers the time when he was still with his mother, telling her to not worry about him as he will win the war and come for her.

He steps foot on his tent and walks toward his personal chest which contains all his stuff that he loves the most.  He opens the chest and takes out a book that has collected little amount of dust over the past few months, he opens the book which is falling apart, he pulls out a letter written by his mother and his father for him, he goes over the first few lines and it makes him remember of his thirst for revenge. He closes the book as reynard walks in with news.

Ren: sir, I have a very good news for you, would you care to listen?

Shou: go on.

Ren: the army might have a soldier count over 12000 people but,

Shou: but?

Reynard: but we have a clear advantage as they are under prepared and have an echelon formation.

Shou chuckles.

Shou: order the platoon commanders to take on a shield wall form, get the arrows and the giant cannons ready.

Ren: are we going to take on a defensive formation sir?

Shou: yes.

Ren: alright sir.

Shou: now let's go to the meeting grounds, I hope rizen has informed them about it by now.

Ren: sir, please March to the meeting grounds with an escort till I arrive.

Shou: alright.

Shou heads over to the escort team and orders them to gear up with the best gear in their inventory and follow him.
