The Trip

Chapter 3

Matt and Rosie opened and shut the door loudly and clicked their flashlights on, their plan was in motion. They called out for their friend, waving their flashlights around. They kept calling out for their friend, while the three police officers were behind them, secretly following while they were walking down the hallway. While John kept Liel quiet, he got her into one of the hospital rooms, quietly.

They turned the corner, to find they weren't there, to their dismay. "I'll look in this room" Rosie said to Matt and the officers, going into the room where John took Liel, two of the police officers following behind.

She opened the door carefully, the officers having their guns drawn in case of danger. She opened the door fully, to see nothing there. Rosie went in, the debris crunching under her feet while she looked around with her flashlight while the 2 officers, still having their guns drawn, spotted another door in a corner.

Her and the two officers went to the door as quietly as they could, Rosie put her ear up to the door to listen for any breathing, she heard some heavy breathing on the other side.

Her and the two officers pretended to leave and quietly went back to the door, they turned their flashlights off and hid behind the door, waiting for John and Liel to come out. The door creeked open slowly, John and Liel walked out slowly and quietly, then Rosie and the two officers quickly turned on their flashlights. "Halt!" Shouted one of the officers, both officers having their guns drawn.

John and Liel turned around. John put his hands in the air as as surrender. "Let go of the girl and nobody gets hurt." That same officer said, Liel running towards Rosie and crashing into her with a hug, they both hugged for a moment before pulling back.

"What were you planning on doing with her?" The other officer said, both of the officers looked angry and disappointed.

"Uh, well, I was, planning on experimenting her and making her a zombie." John said.

One of the officers scoffed. "Despicable. John we will have to put you under arrest for kidnapping and doing some heignous acts in the process. You'll have to come with us." The officer said, going towards John and putting his hands behind his back, handcuffing him.

They made their way to the door and outside into the hallway, where Matt was waiting outside, he was leaning against the wall chewing on his nails, worried. He got up and stopped biting his nails, following the group outside to where the rest of the cops were waiting with their cop cars.

The officer who had him went to his car and opened the back car door and placed John in, closing the door after.

The officer sighed and turned around to face Matt, Rosie, and Liel. "Well, he'll be taken care of. We've been looking for him for a while, we finally caught him. Took us long enough. Now, are you all okay? Is there anything else I could help you with?" The officer said, looking at the group.

"Uh, well, I do have one question." Said Liel.

"Go on." The officer replied.

"Well, how long have you been trying to find him? Has he been arrested before?"

"Yes, he has, and we've been looking for him for 3 and a half months. He keeps escaping somehow. Oh, I also forgot to introduce myself. My name's Officer Wayne. The officer who came with us inside is Officer Johnson. I hope you all will stay safe."

"Thank you, Officer Wayne. Thanks to Officer Johnson as well. We'll head home now, see you when we see you." Rosie said, smiling.

"Not a problem. You all head on home, now, and stay safe." Officer Wayne said.

"Okay, thanks again, bye." Said Rosie, as her and her friends walked down the path back to their home.
