Maya sighed as she landed gracefully on the top of a skyscraper, a small dust cloud kicks up as she lands. To her, what she was about to go through was easily the worst part of her otherwise wonderful job. She opens the nearby door, a small console with a bright red light stood in the middle. She takes a card out of her pocket and sets it on the console. The console beeps as the light turns green, the wall opposite the door hisses as it separates in the middle, revealing to be an elevator. She walks into the elevator, sighing at the shiny gold plating that covers it entirely. She presses a floor button and takes in a deep breath as the doors close and the elevator descends.

It only took a few seconds before the elevator grinds to a halt.

"39th floor." The robotic voice of the elevator cheered out. Opening the door, Maya is greeted by the sight of a long marble highway. She walks down the hallway, passing by numerous paintings she got tired of seeing every single time she walked the hall. At the end, she approaches a desk that feels more modern and out of place with the rest of the older-looking hall. Two large wooden doors flanked the desk. A young man sat behind the desk, typing away on a computer, unaware of Maya's entrance.

"Ahem." Maya coughs, getting the man's attention.

"Hmm? Oh!" The man becomes flustered at seeing Maya, "Forgive me Tanuki, I didn't see you there."

"Ohayo Yoshida-san. You know I've told you to call me by my name before."

"Ah, y-yes you did." The secretary stutters, adjusting his glasses.

Maya giggled at his embarrassed demeanor. She always had a soft spot for the young secretary.

"Anybody else in?"

"W-well, you're pretty early, but Iwasaki-sama is waiting for you inside. Mr. Carlson should be in with the rest in a few."

Maya beamed at the first part. "Arigatou gozaimasu Yoshida-san !" She exclaimed, walking to the giant door next to the desk.

"Dou itashimashite." The secretary responded as he watched Maya enter.

Maya entered the room, which was nothing like the hallway she was just in. Everything about this room screamed modern. Holograms of maps and news segments were plastered around the room. In the back, near the windows, a large table that spanned most of the width of the room sat. She walked to the table smiling at seeing who was sitting next to it.

Kazuto Iwasaki sat facing the window of the meeting room. The sun beams down on his white hair and aged face. After the war, he settled in the States to work in the up-and-coming yuusha industry. Getting to work with various heroes gave him a lot to be proud of, and even though he hated the business part of the entire industry, there were always people in it who made up for the worst parts of it, especially a certain few.

He heard the large wooden door in the back of the room open, he turns the wheels on his chair to see who entered. A smile forming as he sees who walks in.

"Kaz-sama!" Maya called out, walking up to him.

"Maya, I'm glad you're here."

She kneeled to make herself level with Kaz, hugging him as best as she could. "Same, I just wish we didn't have to do this."

"Hai, but it's something we can't ignore. How're you feeling by the way?"

"Good, school's been fine, did I tell you we have a new transfer from out East."
