I turn my head and see my best friend, ivan, call me. "hm?"

"mr. rae and ms. frias, would you like to share something?" our teacher, mrs. gordon, caught our attention.
"uh, no, ma'am." ivan answered.
"that's what I thought." I hear a sigh of relief from ivan.
it's lunch and I can't see him. him.
where could he be?
he could be at a janitor's closet, making out with some random girl. stop bothering, my mind told me.
I sigh, knowing that my conscience was right.
"hey, hey, hey, what's wrong? is it about the h-word?" I force a chuckle, I couldn't help it, it was nice seeing that my friends are trying to help me forget.
I lie. "no."
"liar." cassandra poked my cheek.

"fine, we won't bother you." ivan said. you won't bother me, when he is bothering me.
god, I just want to forget. what will it take to forget?
