Later, Sophia was reading her favorite book The Little Mermaid. "What part are you reading, Sophia?" Prince Hugo asked. "The part where Ariel signs the contract and Ursula the Sea Witch takes her voice away," said Sophia. "Oh, I hate that part," Prince Hugo said. "Me too," said Sophia.

Adara was listening to the conversation, and she wished she could have Sophia's singing voice. She was reading a book called The Complete Guide to Magical Jewels. She unhappily skimmed through the book until she saw a yellow gemstone called the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization. Adara read in the book:

The bearer of the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization will have the power to devocalize anybody. The Amulet will contain the victim's voice, and the bearer will be speaking/singing with the voice contained in the amulet. However, the power will not last very long.

Reading about this made Adara smirk. She decided she'll have to steal her youngest sister's voice to win Prince Hugo for herself. Now she just needed to find the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization, so she could devocalize Sophia.

Adara went into the palace jewel room to find the magical amulet. She found lots of red and orange necklaces. But when she saw the yellow jewelry, she had a hard time trying to find the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization.

"Maybe the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization just isn't here in Rudistan," Adara sighed. Suddenly, she saw a yellow flash of light and saw a yellow gemstone necklace-and it was the Amulet of Anti-Vocalization. Adara was really happy, and now she just has to wait for Sophia to go to sleep tonight in order to devocalize her.

That night Sophia was sleeping in bed. Adara quietly tiptoed into Sophia's bedroom. She held out the amulet and recited the spell to devocalize Sophia, whose voice came out and into the amulet.
