Michael got out of bed. He sighed, then groaned because he realised he had woken up one minute before his alarm.
He was still tired. But let's be honest here, he always was.
He rolled out of bed, and stumbled into his ripped black skinny jeans and threw on an Iron Maiden t-shirt and made his way into the kitchen.
Michael couldn't be bothered to make breakfast, so he took out the leftovers from the pizza he had the night before. Michael was about to take his first bite of the pepperoni pizza, but his phone started to ring. He checked the screen and it flashed Ashton's name. Michael picked up the phone, and slid his finger across the screen to unlock it.

"What." Michael answered.
"Well that's a lovely way to greet one of your best friends Michael." Ashton commented.
"Someone's cranky." Michael heard Calum mutter in the background.
"I'm sorry Ash, I'm just so tired." Michael spoke, then yawned.
"It's alright Mike. As long as you turn up to practice at 3."
"Yeah, I'll be there." Michael said, then took a huge bite of pizza.
"Oh, and what's your deal with Luke? You've been meaner than usual to him, like, you used to just tease him but-"
"Look Ash, you know I don't like Luke." Michael mumbled through the mouthful of pizza.
"Can't you just try and get along?"
"No Ash, we're completely different people."
"At least tr-"
"Goodbye Ashton."
Michael hung up the phone and then proceeded to dig into his leftover pizza. No one was going to interrupt him now. He grabbed a can of coke out of the fridge and sat in front of his TV to watch his favourite show.

----------------------

Michael zipped up his guitar case and made his way to Calum's house. They were having their rehearsal in Calum's basement today. Michael knocked at his door and waited patiently whilst tapping his foot on the ground.
Luke opened the door and once he realised it was Michael his eyes widened with fear.
Michael sighed dramatically, then barged past him, nearly hitting Luke in the face with his guitar.
Luke followed him down into the basement where Ashton and Calum were.
They both sat down.
"I came up with a setlist." Ashton spoke up.
"Wait. I thought Luke was doing it." Michael smirked.
"I decided to do it in the end. Problem?"
"No, just asking."
"Okay, well first we're singing 'Green Light' so let's go through that."
"Right, one second."

Michael stood up and got his guitar out of its case and sat back down again. They began to rehearse the song. It was going really well. Luke's pitch was perfect, Calum was playing his bass extremely well, Michael was basically a god on guitar and Ashton? Well everyone knows he is amazing at the drums. Ashton always looked so into it. He would nod his head to the beat, and put so much effort into every second of every song. Without Ashton the band wouldn't be complete. But the same could have been said about any of the boys, because if any of them were missing they weren't the true '5 Seconds of Summer'. There had to been all four of them. It was either all or none. But Michael seemed to disagree. He didn't want Luke in the band at all.
This confused Luke. He didn't know what he had done wrong. He wanted to find out why Michael hated him so much.

"I need a piss." Michael interrupted, then walked out of the room and made his way to the bathroom.
Luke decided to take this as his chance to follow Michael and get some answers out of him.
Luke sat there awkwardly.
"Um... So do I." Luke got up quickly and scuttled out of the room, then followed Michael.
Luke heard the toilet flush, and his heart started to beat a mile a minute. Michael opened the door and shot Luke a confused look. Luke began to think this was a bad idea. An extremely bad idea.
"Did you follow me...?" Michael looked extremely confused and creeped out.
"I want to know why." Luke spluttered then looked down at his fingertips. He always did this when he was either nervous, or unsure of what was going to happen. It comforted him for some odd reason.
"What?" Michael asked abruptly, then raised one of his dark brown eyebrows.
"I want to know why you don't like me." Luke repeated, but this time he said it louder with more strength to his voice.
"Look Luke, I don't have all day just to stand here and name all the things that annoy the shit out of me about you okay? So just get out of my way." Michael explained rudely.
Luke still blocked the door, his confidence was starting to kick in.
"No Michael."
"Luke get out of my way you freak." Michael, tried to push Luke out the way, but he wouldn't budge.
"Michael ple-"
Michael flicked his wet hands in Luke face. Luke flinched as the wet droplets landed on his skin.
"Get. Out. Of. My. Way." Michael pushed Luke to the side and stormed past him.
Luke slid down the wall and placed his arms around his legs. His confidence had crumbled down in a matter of minutes.
Luke didn't know why the black haired boy hated him so much. Tears began to slowly run down his face. Some of the tears went in between his lips and he could taste their saltiness.

Luke had been sat there for at least 20 minutes. No one came and spoke to him. He felt as if no one cared. So he left Calum's house without telling any of his band mates.

Once Luke had arrived back at his house, his mother Liz greeted him at the door. He went up to his bedroom and sat on his bed. Shortly his phone began to vibrate. Maybe they do care, Luke thought to himself. But the next thing that Luke discovered confused him highly. The name flashing on his phone wasn't Ashton. Or Calum.

It was in fact Michael Clifford.
