A/n: I saw a post on TikTok of a couple dancing in the rain, which led me to an idea for this fanfic. And what better idea than with a 1930' anti-hero? (This chapter is pretty weird/cringe..)

Days turned into weeks, and the promise Noir made seemed like he was spewing nonsense, only so he could make you long for something that would never happen. It wasn't just waiting. it was the ache of anticipation turning into disappointment, leaving a bitter taste of betrayal on your tongue.

Finally you had to have enough and you were tired. So, in an act against the hurt, you made a decision. You decided it was time to move forward, to let go of him.

You remembered the one gentleman from the party, the one who had shared a dance with you under the glittering chandeliers. He had a smile that could light up the room, and his confidence had intrigued you. With determination, you reached out to him with help of your friend, agreeing to go on a date.

You deserved someone who valued your time, someone who wouldn't leave you waiting for nothing. As you prepared for the evening, the frustration you had bubbling inside you was replaced with a soothing feeling, a glimmer of hope for something different.

The date went amazing, he listened to you and you listened to him. It was a calming and intimate atmosphere. The sun started to set, casting the sky in colors of orange and pink, you found yourself walking down the street with him. Your arm intertwined with his. The street was shined in the warm, golden glow of the sun.

You eventually reached your home. "I hope we will soon see each other again." He spoke out as he charmed a smile, "We will." He walked away and as you were about to open the door, you saw something in the reflection. To your surprise, you spotted him in the distance. Noir, was swinging effortlessly between buildings, his silhouette intertwining with the shadows now and then.

However, the initial joy of seeing him was quickly overshadowed by a wave of frustration and hurt. Weeks had passed since your last encounter, and the absence had left an ache in your heart. The unanswered questions and unfulfilled promises weighed heavily on your mind, fueling a sense of abandonment that you struggled to contain.

As he landed gracefully in front of you, you couldn't mask the disappointment in your eyes. "It's been weeks," you said annoyed. "I thought you'd forgotten about me." Noir sighed, his masked eyes reflecting a complex blend of regret and annoyance. "I haven't forgotten. I've been caught up in something big. I didn't mean to make you feel neglected."

Your frustration bubbled to the surface, your words edged with hurt. "But you did. You made me wait, wondering if I meant anything to you."

He reached out, as if wanting to hold your hand, but hesitated, his gloved fingers curling into a fist before relaxing. "You mean a lot to me, more than you know. I want to make it up to you, to prove that I care."

"Actions speak louder than words," you replied, your tone firm. "I need more than just promises." He nodded, his mask hiding his emotions behind it. "I understand. I'll do better, I promise. Just give me a chance to make things right."

"It's too late for that anyways. I found someone else, Noir," you declared, annoyance seeping into your words. Spider-Man Noir's eyes narrowed, "You moved on?" His voice was laced with a mixture of surprise, hurt, and anger. "After I told you to wait for me?"

You met his gaze coldly. "You left me waiting," you countered, your voice unwavering. "I can't keep holding on to empty promises."
