Alex came rushing to me and kneeled to check what was wrong and held my hand to see my elbow and fist. I pushed him away with my other hand, saying,
Me: "Get away, you demon. What have you done to my eyes? I need my eyes. Who am I? Why don't I remember anything? What did you do to me? " I repeated.
Despite my pushing him, he still came, held me in his arms easily, and put me down on the bed gently. Before I could do something, he injected something into my hand, which made my eyes heavy and again darkness fell around me, drifting me to sleep. I could feel Alex's hand on my cheek.

Alex reassured me, his comforting deep voice soothing my fears. "I understand your fear, baby girl, but believe me, I will rescue both you and myself from this unfortunate destiny," he said, and his words rendered me speechless and I fell into a deep sleep.

I awoke to an immense ache pulsating through my body and a pounding headache. Instantly, I noticed the presence of bandages enveloping my hand, fingers, and head. Curiosity caused me to raise my hands towards my head, only to realize that they were restrained and the familiar bite of metal clung to my wrists from the handcuffs. Surprised, I glanced over and caught sight of Alex, seated in his chair with a book in hand. Startled by his voice, I had assumed he was unaware that I am awake.

Alex: "Don't you feel exhausted by all the commotion you caused, baby girl?" he murmurs, sliding the book delicately onto the table. Slowly approaching me, he tenderly wipes away my tears with his thumb and gently brushes my hair away from my face."Listen, I may not have all the answers about you, but let me assure you of one thing: no one will come searching for you. The only way to escape this hell is by heeding my words. Please," he says with a sorrowfull smile.
Before I could respond, we suddenly heard footsteps, and Dr. Adam entered the room with a plate in his hand.
Adam: "Hi there, I brought you some food, young lady. It's creamy mashed potatoes with a flavorful mushroom soup." He says as he carefully places the plate on the bedside table. "I heard about the commotion you caused today, and we can't let you continue to harm yourself like this. It won't be tolerated in the future." He reaches into his drawer, grabbing his hair curler. "I did warn you, didn't I? Disobeying has its consequences, and since you didn't listen, I must now punish you."
He connects the hair curler to the socket and flicks the switch on, making my heart race with fear and causing beads of sweat to form on my forehead.

Me: "What do you intend to do with that hair curler?" I ask him, my voice trembling and my breath coming in short gasps. I gaze at Alex, but he doesn't meet my eyes; only his knuckles reveal his tension, as they grow white from the forceful grip on the glass. His face appears calm, yet his clenched teeth silently convey a sense of impending danger.Adam approaches me with a heated hair curler in his hand, his eyes filled with intensity. As he tightly grips my hand, he sternly declares, "This is your first consequence for disregarding my rules." Desperate to free myself, I attempt to reclaim my hand, only to realize the frustrating presence of handcuffs.
Panic takes hold as I scream, "No, no, no!" Tears stream down my face, causing my hair to stick to my cheeks. In a shaky voice, I plead with him, "Please, you can't do this." Trembling and sobbing, I watch helplessly as Adam's firm grip tightens around my hand. The agonizing burn from the hair curler on my right wrist forces an excruciating cry to escape my lips, shattering the silence and causing Alex to unintentionally drop his glass without hesitation.
Adam proceeds to leave two more scorching marks side by side, an undeniable punishment aimed at teaching me a lasting lesson.
Adam: "Perhaps this experience will teach you a valuable lesson." Turning to Alex, he continued, "Alex, I'll be going to Greece for a week. Mrs. Charlotte will be here to handle any emergencies, and she might arrive tomorrow. Until then, it's your responsibility to take care of her. Remember, I'll be keeping an eye on you. Any misbehavior will result in consequences." With that, he walked away, leaving the room immersed in silence, interrupted only by my tears. I could sense Alex approaching me.
Me: "Stop, don't you dare come near me," My words caused him to momentarily pause, but he quickly resumed walking. "Didn't I tell you to stop.." Before I could finish my sentence, he unexpectedly kissed my lips. I could feel my cheeks flush, turning a deep shade of red. He broke the eye contact and softly said, "Let me treat your wound and change your bandages, they're soaked in blood."
