.The Llorona
Legend has it that, in the middle of the 16th century, during the nights of the full moon, the residents of Mexico City woke up startled when they heard the loud cries of a woman, who screamed: Oh my children!
The figure was dressed in white and a veil covered its face, as it walked through the streets of the city heading to the banks of a river, where it vanished.
They say that the woman, after her husband abandoned her, decided to drown her children in the river. Since then, she regrets what happened and wanders the streets of the city. There are those who claim that to this day their sad lament can be heard.
It's sad, isn't it?
How far can the pain and hatred of someone who is betrayed go?
