"Crying doesn't make you weak."

Harry's week at work was shit. It wasn't even worth mentioning what had gone wrong, because everything had gone wrong. His computer had crashed, his boss had yelled at him, and his coworkers had ignored him. By the time Friday rolled around, Harry was on the verge of tears. He refused to let them fall, though. Crying was weak, and Harry wasn't weak. He was strong, damn it. He could get through this. He just needed to make it through the rest of the day.

When Louis finally came home later that evening, Harry was sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the TV. He didn't bother to get up or even turn to face Louis when he heard the front door open. He just wanted to be left alone.

"Hey, baby," Louis said, his voice soft and gentle. Harry could feel his eyes on him, and he finally turned to face him. "What's wrong?"

Harry shook his head, trying to shrug it off. "Nothing," he lied.

Louis crossed the room in two steps and crouched down in front of him. "Harry, look at me," he said firmly. When Harry finally met his eyes, he could see the concern etched into his features. "You can tell me anything. You know that, right?"

Harry shook his head again. "I'm fine," he insisted.

Louis took Harry's hands in his own. "You're not fine," he said gently. "You're upset. And you know what? Crying doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. And I'm here for you, no matter what."

Harry felt a lump forming in his throat. He didn't want to cry. He didn't want to be vulnerable in front of Louis. But he also didn't want to be alone with his thoughts and feelings anymore. So he did the only thing he could think of: he leaned into Louis's warmth and let the tears fall.

Louis wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close. "Shh, baby," he whispered, stroking his back soothingly. "It's okay to cry. I've got you."

Harry didn't know how long they sat like that, but he eventually calmed down. Louis didn't let go of him until he was sure Harry was okay. "What happened?" Louis asked gently.

Harry took a deep breath and tried to explain. "It's just been a really shitty week," he said, hanging his head. "Everything's been going wrong, and I just... I can't take it anymore."

Louis nodded understandingly. "I know it's hard, but you're stronger than you think you are. And I'm here for you, no matter what."

Harry looked up at him gratefully. "Thank you," he said softly. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Louis smiled reassuringly. "You'll never have to find out," he said, leaning in to place a gentle kiss on Harry's forehead. "Now, how about we order some takeout and watch a movie? Just the two of us."

Harry smiled back, feeling a sense of comfort and security wash over him. He knew that he could always count on Louis, no matter how tough things got. And for now, that was enough.

They ordered their favorite Chinese food and settled in on the couch with some laugh-out-loud comedy. Harry found himself slowly relaxing into the familiarity of Louis's presence, his arm draped over Louis's shoulders as they shared laughs and inside jokes.

As the movie ended and the credits rolled, Harry felt a sense of contentment wash over him. It had been a rough week, but being with Louis made everything seem alright. He leaned in closer to Louis, nuzzling his neck affectionately.

"Hey, I was thinking," Louis began, his voice low and husky. "Why don't we take a break from the world and just spend some time together?"

Harry perked up at the idea. "Like a vacation?" he asked eagerly.

Louis grinned. "Something like that," he said, his fingers trailing lightly along Harry's jawline. "How does a weekend getaway sound?"

Harry felt a thrill of anticipation run through him. He couldn't remember the last time he'd had a real vacation, let alone one spent with Louis. "That sounds amazing," he breathed, leaning in for a kiss.

As their lips met, Harry felt all the stress and worry of the past week melt away. He knew that with Louis by his side, they could take on anything - even if it meant just spending a few days relaxing and reconnecting with each other.

The next Saturday morning, Harry woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside their window. He stretched lazily and smiled as he remembered where he was - in a cozy cabin by the lake, surrounded by nothing but nature and each other.

Louis was already up, brewing coffee and humming softly to himself. Harry joined him in the kitchen, leaning against the counter as Louis poured him a cup of coffee. "Morning," he mumbled sleepily, taking a sip of the hot liquid.

"Morning, love," Louis replied with a smile, his fingers brushing against Harry's. "So, what do you feel like doing today?"

Harry shrugged. "I don't know, whatever you want to do," he said, still feeling a bit groggy from the sleep.

Louis thought for a moment. "How about we go for a hike?" he suggested. "There's a beautiful trail not too far from here."

Harry perked up at the idea. "Sounds great," he said, finishing off his coffee. "Let's do it."

They spent the rest of the morning hiking through the woods, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. They stopped occasionally to sit down by a stream or pick some wild berries. It was peaceful and serene, a perfect way to spend their first day together away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As they reached the top of the hill, the view took Harry's breath away. The lake shimmered in the distance, reflecting the blue sky above. They sat down on a rock, taking in the beauty around them. "This is amazing," Harry breathed, leaning against Louis's side.

Louis smiled, wrapping an arm around Harry's shoulders. "I'm glad you like it," he said. "I thought it would be a nice place to spend some quality time together."

They sat in silence for a while, just enjoying the peace and quiet. Eventually, Harry spoke up. "Hey, I've always wondered," he said, turning to face Louis. "How did you end up doing what you're doing? I mean, you're so talented."

Louis chuckled. "Aw, shucks," he said, blushing slightly. "Well, it all started when I was younger. My parents wanted me to become a doctor or a lawyer, but I always knew that wasn't for me. I started writing songs in high school and just never stopped. I worked really hard to get where I am today."

Harry nodded, impressed. "You're really inspiring," he said sincerely. "I wish I had your talent."

Louis shook his head. "You're being too modest," he replied. "You have your own talents, you know. And I think it's amazing that you can do what you love for a living."

Harry smiled, feeling warm inside. He loved hearing Louis talk about his passion for music. It made him realize that they had more in common than he thought. They sat there for a while longer, lost in their own thoughts, until the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink.

"Come on," Louis said, standing up. "I have an idea for dinner."

Harry followed Louis back to the cabin, eager to see what he had in store for them. As they walked, they discussed their favorite memories from their childhood and their dreams for the future. It was a perfect evening, filled with laughter, music, and love.
