I woke up with strong arms wrapped around my figure, providing me with comforting warmth. Upon opening my eyes, I found him lying directly in front of me, the distance between us barely an inch. My breath hitched, and I attempted to discreetly move away. I didn't want him to think I was being clingy or getting too close.
I managed to free myself from his embrace after a struggle and took a moment to look at him. I was bewildered. When did I fall asleep? How did he bring me to the bedroom? And I realized I was still wearing my office attire.
Sighing, I assumed I must have fallen asleep in the car, and he had carried me here. But in his arms? I found it hard to believe. I considered myself too heavy for someone to carry in a bridal style.
I couldn't help but feel a surge of self-consciousness about my body. It was a constant battle for me, dealing with my insecurities and weight issues. I often found myself worrying about what Jungkook thought of me, even though he had never shown any sign of discomfort with my appearance.
Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I decided to get out of my office attire. I quickly changed into more comfortable clothes, feeling the need to freshen up. As I stood in front of the mirror, I took a moment to study myself. The self-doubt crept in, but I pushed it aside. I knew I had to work on loving myself more and not let these insecurities control me.
I descended the staircase, making my way to the kitchen. The sweet sound of laughter and playfulness echoed through the house. There they were, Ju and Lily, engaged in their own little world of games and joy. As soon as Ju spotted me, his eyes lit up, and he ran toward me with his tiny arms outstretched.
"Mama!" he exclaimed, and I couldn't help but smile at his excitement. I scooped him up in my arms, and he planted a wet kiss on my cheek.
