Sadly, fate had other plans for them. Kaz's family was extremely traditional and they disapproved of her relationship with Goku Black. They believed that the two of them were from entirely different worlds and that they could never be together.

Undeterred, Kaz and Goku Black continued their relationship in secret, constantly meeting up on the outskirts of the school and writing each other letters. However, one night, as they were on their way to meet each other, Goku Black was attacked and killed by kaz's jealous ex-boyfriend.

Shattered by the loss of the love of her life, Kaz decided to leave the country and start a new life elsewhere. She left behind everything she knew and everyone she loved, but she never forgot Goku Black.

As fate would have it, the very same day that Kaz arrived back in the city, an important meeting was taking place at the school where she and Goku Black had first met. The subject of the meeting was none other than the resurrection of Goku Black.
