I walk into the doors of the big, brick building that is unfortunately, my school. I look into the hallway mirror fixing the purple hair that is in front of my face. I look behind me in the mirror and see a girl.
"She looks familiar but fuck, what do I know? It's only the second week of school. Well, our unior year but still. You get me?"
I look down at my friend Maria Cortez. She was 5'3 while I am 5'7 so sometimes I need to look down to see her.
"Uh.. yea totally.."
She'd pat my arm looking over at a guy she had a crush on. I don't pay much attention due to the fact that she gets a new crush every week.
"New crush again?"
I nug her, teasingly.
"Whattt!! I don't change crushes that frequently arc!"
I smiled at her, laughing slightly.
"Aye! Be quiet Vampire!"
She began shouting at me in Spanish in the middle of the, white, brick walled hallway causing people to stare. She always has called me a vampire ever since well, diapers. I feel like I've known her since forever.
I still can't get my mind off the tall, tan, curly black, haired girl that made eye contact with me through the hallway mirror.
"Arc! Maria!"
A stern German voice said from just a few hallways behind us.
I jolted myself to see her from behind me.
"Uh oh.."
Maria hid inside my jacket as the principle stormed towards us.
"Late to class again!?"
Through all the day dreaming and yelling that had happened to me in the last few minutes the hallways had cleared out and everyone had gone to class already.
"Ahh! Goodmorning Mrs. Pérez"
I let out the fakest smile I could looking at her.
"That's another detetion for both of you. Now hurry, get to class!"
"Aye!!! Thanks miss bye!"
Maria said ashamed, while dragging me across the hallway.
