Chapter 2: The Bubbler

Elena is making a special necklace for Adrien as it is his birthday, she designed it first hand and then made it.

Elena: "Selene? Crees que le gustar'a?" (Do you think he'll like it?)

Selene: "I think he'll love it, why not add a note too? For the extra niceness for his birthday."

Elena: "Supongo que puedo hacer eso." (I guess I can do that.)

She then wrote a note to add with the gift. She puts the necklace in a squared box. After she's done with the note, she put it in an envelope and attached it to the gift.

Elena: "I hope he likes it."

Selene: "He will. You'll see."

She nodded. Meanwhile with Adrien...

Plagg: "Happy birthday, Adrien!"

He brings out a piece of Camembert wrapped in a bow. Adrien was brushing his teeth.

Adrien: "Ugh, Plagg! Get that filthy piece of Camembert out of my face!"

He plugs his nose.

Plagg: "Huh?"

He eats the cheese.

Plagg: "Mmm."

At Marinette's place. Marinette walked down the stairs with a gift in hand while her mother is in the kitchen drinking her tea.

Sabine: "Marinette, don't forget to clean your room after school today."

Marinette: "Mom! It's Friday, and I'm already doing something with Alya."

Sabine: "Fine, I'll go ahead and clean it, but don't blame me if I come across any of your private stuff, like your e-mails, your diary--"

Marinette got nervous.

Marinette: "Okay! I'll do it, I'll do it. I bet Elena has to clean her room when it's messy."

Sabine: "What was that, young lady?"

Marinette: "Nothing! Nothing!"

She goes up to her mother, gave her a kiss, and starts to leave.

Sabine: "Have a nice day, sweetie!"

Marinette: "Happy birthday-- I mean, have a nice day!"

As she closes the door. Sabine got confused but shrugs it off. Adrien finished eating his breakfast alone at the dining table. He looks sad. Nathalie walks in, tablet in hand.

Nathalie: "Your schedule, Adrien."

She hands him the tablet. Adrien took it from her.

Adrien: "Thanks, Nathalie."

Nathalie begins to leave.

Adrien: "Hey, um, my father get back to you about my birthday party?"

His face lit up.

Nathalie: "Well, um-- He doesn't think it would be a good idea."

Adrien turns sad and speaks.

Adrien: "'Course not."

Nathalie: "Happy birthday, Adrien."

She leaves. At the school... Adrien and Nino were talking while Marinette and Alya were eavesdropping nearby, even Chloe and Sabrina are nearby.

Nino: "Dude, seriously? Has your dad always been such a downer? You'd think he'd at least remember what it was like to be young and wanna party a little."

Adrien: "No, I'm pretty sure he was a downer back then too. Well, at least I tried."

Nino wraps his arm around Arien.
