Taylor's POV
"Girls, huddle up!" Coach Morgan announces as we finish our 2nd mile. My best friend Kiana and I jog towards the team huddled around the coach. "Ladies, for this season we need a goal keeper. Do any of you think you're up for the challenge?" I look at Kiana "Should I try? I mean I wasn't terrible last year." She gives me a look as in to say duhh and I step up and say "Coach I'll do it, it'll be fun" and raise my hand.
"Well I suggest you get ready then, training starts tomorrow, be here at 8:30 in the morning! Get back to work girls!" I turn to Kiana and she has the biggest smile on her face and she attacks me saying "I'm so excited for you!" I laugh "You better be right about this" and dribble a ball to center field.
Coach Morgan calls me over and asks me "Taylor, have you trained before?" "yes ma'am I have I'm still a little rusty though" "good, make sure you have everything. There will be a special trainer coming to help you make sure you try your hardest" I shake my head and say "I have everything I need, 8:30 right?" She shakes her head yes and I run back to Kiana and juggle the ball with her.
As we warm up for a few minutes it starts raining and the field becomes very muddy. Coach yells "perfect slide tackling weather!" We all laugh at each other and start sliding left and right. Once the rain stops we go inside and take showers.
Our team captain Micayla is the most ignorant player we have, she always thinks she's the best. She stops me on my way out and says "Good luck with the trainer, well good luck getting through the first part of the season anyways. We all know you shouldn't have made the team." I look at her and walk away, there's no need to get kicked off the team because of her attitude. Luckily she's a senior and it's the last year with her!
I grab my keys and start my car as I'm pulling out the parking lot I turn on my favorite band one direction. With fools gold blaring I turn into my subdivision. Since it's already 6:30 I order pizza and head to bed unprepared of what's next to come tomorrow morning.
