Mabu clicked on the headlines and tweets that mentioned him and Blueface.

'Ewwww'
'Homosexuality is a sin.'
'They are cringe I'm not listening to them anymore'
Mabu sighed reading the comment section. He was glad that they were getting publicity and getting reaction out of people but their words still hurt. Exposing himself to those negative opinions made him unsure of what to do. He enjoyed the attention he got and his career was mostly based on trolling even before they started this but he also wanted to run away from it all. Trying to calm himself down, he called Blueface.
"What up"
"Hey Blue. Did you see all the stuff people are saying about us?"
"Yeah I did. Why?"
"They are hating on us and saying they're not gonna listen to us anymore and shit like that. Aren't you worried?"
"I mean I saw that kinda stuff too but we gotta push through it. And I know you've already been through this before. When you first came around people were hating on you because you were white but now they've calmed down."
"I've never got hated this much but I guess you're right. Bye."
"Bye. And don't think about stuff they're saying too much. Just focus on what you're trying to do. We're gonna keep getting famous and we can't let stuff like that get you down. Plus There're still a lot of people that support you. I'm one of those people."
"Thank you man." Mabu hung up, trying to hold back tears. He had hoped Blue would offer some advice on how to deal with hate but he didn't expect him to be this thoughtful. Before he met Blueface he had been dealing with the stress from fame all alone but now he felt like he had someone to share his feelings with.
After feeling grateful for Blueface's words, Mabu began to think about what he was actually trying to say to him. He might have been just trying to help him as a fellow rapper and a friend but friends didn't say that kind of stuff to each other. Was he trying to say something else? Maybe something more than a friend would say? Plus the fact that Blue held his hand at the Halloween party and how he felt when they made that contact confused him even more. Mabu still thougth of himself as a straight guy but he couldn't help but to feel his attraction towards Blueface. He could sometimes imagine what would be like to date him but tried to wipe those thoughts quickly. Blue was very nice to him and the hand holding and phone calls didn't feel like something friends do to each other but he could have been just misreading the signs.
However, he didn't want to confess his feelings towards him because at this point he wasn't even sure what he was feeling. He didn't want to make Blueface feel uncomfortable by confessing his love when it could be not reciprocated. Not to mention it would complicate their plan.
After thinking about these things for a few more hours, Mabu felt himself drifting off to sleep.
