Malika POV
Miki was trying to pay attention to the teacher but ended up falling asleep. I giggle to myself and waited for class to end. Once the bell rang, I walked up to Miki and shook her gently.
"Sis, let's go. Second period."
She stretches before getting up and grabbing her bag. She swings it over her shoulder and I put an arm around her. We head to second period and see the crew sitting down with the boys spitballing each other. I slapped the boys upside the head as I sat down. They rubbed their heads and look at me angrily.
"You gonna injure somebody if you keep that shit up." I stated.
"Or maybe you just mad since you ain't playing with us." They mumbled.
"Excuse me?" I said, looking at them.
They quickly got scared.
"Nothin'." They say, looking away from me.
"That's what I thought."
I lean back in my chair with Miki laying on the desk. I decided that I'll wake her up when the teacher gets here. A few minutes pass and our teacher still wasn't there. I watch the new girl come through the door. I could tell that every boy was looking her up and down and she was uncomfortable. She sits down at an empty desk and reads a book. Some of the cheerleaders come to her desk. I looked away as a funny looking teacher walked in.
"Mr. Arnold called in sick and called me at the last minute. I'm Mr. Dace and I'll be your teacher for today."
"Yo, he so fugly that my cat will do him."
Miki raises her head up from the desk as we all looked at Nishan with disgust.
"Bruh, don't ever and i mean ever say that shit again. It's nasty as fuck." Miki tells him before putting her head back on the desk.
We laugh as Nishan had a pouty face. Brycin rubbed his back in comfort and I saw Haven get a little jealous. Aww Haven gots a crush on B.
*Lunch*
Haven and Brycin were about to sit down with us when their teammates called them. They gave us an apologetic smile but I motioned for them to go. Amber and Nishan stared at me then to Miki. I sigh and gently shook her.
"Malika, please let me sleep."
"Love, get up. You've been sleeping for three periods."
She lifts her head up and rubs her eyes before stretching.
"It's because I ain't get enough sleep."
"Because you on the phone with that player!"
"He's not a player! He loves me!" She screamed back.
"Miki, why can't you see it? We all see it but you can't."
"Whatchu mean?"
"Miks, he's been with lots of hoes and he can barely even stay in a relationship before he cheats. We don't want you to keep your hopes up because that boy don't love you. He may act like it but we can see him talking to other girls." Amber tells me.
She shakes her head and I rub her back. She moves from my touch and gets up.
"How can you say that? You just can't understand that he loves me."
She walks away and I just sit there with a frown.
"Why are you so in love with this guy that you can't even see him for who he really is." I whisper.
I feel Amber and Nishan hug me. I begin to cry and soon more people joined. I looked up to see Brycin and Haven.
"Baby girl, don't cry." Haven soothes.
"She'll find out the hard way since she is too stubborn to even see straight." Brycin said, rubbing my back.
They help me get up and we walk to fifth period before the bell rang. We walk around the halls when we heard screaming and shouting. It sounded like Miki so I ran over to where the voices lead me. The crew was behind me. We see Miki and her boyfriend, Liam, screaming at each other.
