If you are looking for something like angsty but also a heartwarming, sweet, funny, passionate, realistic, believable with great characters, this can be the one for you.

There was no third parties, annoying exes, nor exciting face slapping moments. Just two people trying to overcome life. Making their relationship work despite the distance, work and time.

This story is very realistic. 

ML is poor, handsome, cold and have a sensitive reaction of touching the women because of his childhood past sad trauma. But later, when he fell in love with FL, he can put her at tip of his heart and see her only in his eyes. 

FL is pampered and come from rich family but has a bubbly, cheerful and active character like a sun who give light to everyone. 

FL fell in love at first sight and chase him. 

One of my favorite words from ML is "Fortunately, I have you. Sometimes I think that God made me suffer so much in order to let me keep all the blessings, and then I have you now."

Shen Nian Shen (the male lead) had a sad and traumatic childhood because of his mother's abandonment. Many things happened in his childhood that hurt him deeply and wasn't able to forget. He was brought up by his maternal grandmother, to him the only family members he has.

 Sun Tian Tian (the female lead) was a lively, cheerful, and bubbly daughter of a rich family which has always been protected by her father, mother, and older brother. She wasn't someone difficult to approach or mean because of her status, she was kind, emphatic, and a good friend to her dormmates.

Their first encounter was by chance and from that moment the life of the two changes. She fell in love at first sight with ML and when she discovered that they attend the same university she was over the moon. 

However, ML had a reputation. He wasn't someone easy to approach and was described as someone with a cold personality. Due to the events that happened in his childhood, ML didn't like to be touched. He didn't like women touching him. That was why he rejected all the girls that confessed to him even the most beautiful girl at the university.

 FL was tenacious and didn't give up easily so when ML rejected her multiple times, she still persevered. She was somewhat aware of him not liking to be touched, but she only thought that he was germophobic, she didn't have any knowledge of his trauma and didn't know until later in the story. It is certainly true that she went over ML's boundaries many times about her touching him and if you don't like that then don't read the story. But as the story progresses you will see how FL helps ML to heal, accept and love himself. She somehow was able to move ML, but when he was told of FL's status, he was extremely conflicted. He knew that he couldn't give FL everything she wanted nor to afford her lifestyle. This was a repeated topic in the story and the reason why they had an on-off relationship. 

FL was aware of ML's family situation and didn't care. But for ML it was different, he was an overthinker, and his past always haunted him. Their relationship went back and forth many times until ML realized that FL was the light in his dark and sad life. After that many times happened, and there were many hard times for both of them, they stayed together and fought against the odd while holding their hands and not letting go until the end.

Even the ML's work. In other novels, when ML's a genius and won various competitions, he's going to be a CEO with his newly founded company after graduation but not in here. MLs path was not paved. After graduation, he had to work 14-16h a day as a white-collar worker with no background, connection or resources alone in a strange city with just 1k in his pocket and even had to eat just 2 steam buns a day. Tho he's dirt poor, he tried his best to give FL the best things.

 And about the FL. When she said that she can endure and persevere together with ML, she proved it with actions. She's not just rich but rich however she ate whatever he can afford with no complaints. She had never done laundry, cleaning nor lived without AC. But for the first time she hands washed his clothes, even had to repeat it (that's actually really annoying), lived with him in a dilapidated rented house with just 1 electric fan. Most Other novel in FLs need just 1 step forward and MLs would take the rest but not her, she's willing to meet halfway and even if he can't, she can always take those 100 steps all by herself.

I liked how their story progressed and there were many changes in them as well. FL realized the difficulties of earning money and understood ML's difficulties and why he worked non-stop. She wasn't as immature as at the beginning of their relationship. They worked hard to achieve what they wanted without forgetting the most important thing: support and hold each other. 

I loved how ML worked hard to fulfill all the promises he made to FL, including their marriage and starting a family. I had to admit that I kind of teared up when he proposed and when they got married. I mean they went through a lot of things to reach that, especially ML. They were in a relationship for 6 years before getting married. ML waited until the right moment to take that step with FL, he didn't want to be careless or irresponsible, so he waited until he was able to give everything to her. He said that even if she wanted the starts, he would give it to her (*omg*). They were each other's rock and favorite person, they had a tactic understanding between them, even with one glance they could tell if the other one was feeling happy, sad, depressed, etc. I really liked how FL give ML space when he needed it, I mean she supported and worried about him in those moments, but she was able to understand that sometimes he needed to be alone and in silence. And ML always supported FL in everything she wanted to do. He just didn't want her to suffer any grievances, but he also knew that she needed to grow.
