Running Away // H.S //

ONE

"Bailey I swear to fucking god if you don't hurry the fuck up I will fucking-" I hear my older brother Owen yell from the living room.

"Okay, chill. Stop yelling" I say trying to get my shit together while walking down the stairs. "What time is it?"

"8:00 and we have to be there at 8:30 so that means you have 30 minutes to get ready." He says while hes on his phone. Probably texting someone.

I walk over to the fridge, deciding what to eat, "Is Riley ready?"

"Yeah shes already in the car." Owen says still looking at his phone.

"I don't get how early that girl can wake up. I mean after dad-" I got cut off by someone opening the door.

"Can you hurry up? We only have 20 minutes left and its a 15 minute drive to school." my 1 year younger sister says quietly.

My sister Riley hasent been the same after dad died 4 months ago from a car crash. She use to be the girl that always hangs out with her friends and all that other stuff. Now, she just stays at home, in her room god knows what shes doing in there.

Let's say, Riley was the closest one to dad. I don't really like to talk about my dad. i didn't really like him. we didn't really get along with a lot of things. At least everyday we would fight, yell at each other and sometimes throw things at each other.

Mom hasn't been the same either. Shes not at home most of the time and she's probably out there with some guy then stay at the guys house for a week or so.

That means Owen, Riley and I are the ones that are taking care of ourselves.

"Yeah, sure just let me go get my shoes and then we can go." I run up the stairs. "You guys can go wait in the car. I'll be there in a bit."

"K." I hear both of them say before opening the door then slamming it close.

I got to my room, got my shoes, got out the door and drove off to school.

When I opened my locker, I got greeted by the devil that runs this hell hole.

"Um, may I help you?" I asked not making eye contact.

"Hello Adams, Can I talk to you after first period..." she trails off, "And actually show up this time?"

"Uh, y-yeah sure." I stutter, trying to look innocent and wondering what the hell I've done this time.

"Are you sure, Adams?" She says, giving me the if-you-dont-show-up-i-will-kill-you look. I nodded trying my best not to laugh because of her face.

Honestly, if shes trying to scare me, its not working.

"See you then, Adams" She walks away. I roll my eyes and got the stuff I needed for class.

I look around noticing that Daniela and Paige aren't here. Weird. Normally the two of them would greet me at the front entrance since they always arrive earlier than me and I'm always late.

I locked my locker and headed to biology class since I have biology first period.

I was about to enter the room when someone blocked my way.

Zayn.

"Zayn," I say through gritted teeth. "Get out of my way and no one gets hurt--"

"Why wont you come to the movies with me?" He cuts me off.

He has been asking me to go on a date with him for a while now. My answer would always be a no. I mean, hes fine but the only thing don't like about him is that he's a total fuck boy, a jerk, oh and an annoying asshole. 

"Because I don't want to." I say a bit harsh. "Get out of my way and no one gets hurt."

He puts his hands up in surrender and moved out of the way.

I scanned the room for Paige and Daniela and finally found the two of them sitting in the back row, their eyes glued to their phones.

"Hey, hoes." I smile at them. Both of them looked up and smiled. "Decided to ditch me today huh?"

"Sorry, we had to get here before those idiots get the back row." Paige said, pointing at the boys. I laugh, shaking my head in amusement.

"Oh and we saved you a spot." Daniela pats the desk beside her.

"Thanks" I sat down and turned to face them, "So whats new?"

"Mrs. Clark hasen't told you yet?" Paige asked.

"No, but she told me to meet her after first period."

"well.." Daniela looks at Paige.
