After driving around for a few minutes I finally find an open spot. Finally, here in Animacity, the sanctuary for beastmen and hotspot for cars. After Mayor Rose had let humans immigrate here, they took advantage of the open roads and brought their cars. They would do little 4-5 car carmeets occasionally but this, this was the first big carmeet of Animacity. The beastmen liked the cars and some of them even had their own. And another reason car guys liked it here was because their cars would get attention. There was about an equal amount of high valued cars like some Porsches or some Corvettes and riced out mom cars with every thing in between. It took me a couple weeks to get me and my 2018 Toyota Camry here. 1 to get to California. Another 3 weeks to get all the way across the pacific. And the last 12 hours to get here. I parked my car and started setting it up, which was grabbing a little folded paper with the cars stats and placeing it on the hood. 531 hp supercharged v6 with a turbo and a cold air intake. Looking around, it was in a huge parking lot, seemed kinda pointless since not many people here had cars before this. A bunch of beastmen were huddled around a 911 gt3, some humans walking around too. There were some cars that I didn't really expect like a BMW m4. It was a really nice green and had a carbon hood. There was also a heavily riced Nissan Juke. It made me want to throw up. I always hated the juke because it looked like a frog. I came back to my car to find a Hyundai Sonata sitting right next to it. It was a beautiful looking car. Carbon vented hood, bit of a spiller, duck tail spoiler, and had a bright red paint job. The driver though, she was something else entirely.
???: Hey, this your car? What's your name?
Kiri: Yeah, that's mine. I'm Kama Kiri, just call me kiri though.
???: I'm Michiru Kagemori.
Kiri: well that's a nice car you've got yourself.
Michiru: Thanks.
We made a little small talk. We were both fresh out of high school. Me actually and her if she had stayed in school for her senior year. We were both new to the city. She told me how when she was coming here, some motorcyclers were trying to kill her and she was saved by a mink. I just blew past them.
After a while it was around 11pm and we both left. I was homeless, driving around looking for an alley to park my car. I could've gone for the slums but it was a nice car and some one would probably steal it. Maybe Rabbit Town but there probably wouldn't be any place to park. I just drove around some more until I found a spot to park. I backed my car in, turned it off, hopped in the back, and fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of cawing in the distance. It didn't really bother me. Free alarm clock I guess. I hopped in the front seat and started the car. On the center console it said it was 7 am. Great, another hour until any thing was happening. The rear mirror caught my eye and in its reflection was the sonata. So Michiru must live around here. I moved my car out of the way just in case she needed to use it. My phone was at like 41% and I wanted to save my battery so I just went back asleep.
When I woke up again it was 9:23. Time to get my citizenship. I restarted the car and drove off. At the DMV, the line wasn't very long so my phone would occupy my time. when it was my time I told them I needed an ID. They took my photo and my info and in return I got my ID and a licence plate. The background was a picture was of the city from afar. They told me to go to the beastman cooperative if I had nowhere to go. It was three blocks down and on the right. Funny, that's close to the same route that got me here. Driving back, sure enough, I was right where I started.
