Chapter 1:Jake's Party

~ERICA~

I struggled to get my window open,but finally I got it. I stared at my outfit. I was wearing a pink Hollister hoodie with black jeans. My shoes wear pink converse. While my hair was a curly a bit tangled.

So there's this party tonight. Michael told me that I better not go. He had to babysit his little brother tonight. He's like a brother to me. The only person I have. The thing I can make decisions for myself.

I walked down the street. It's only about a ten minute walk. Plus, I like walking anyway. The party is at this popular boy Jakes house. It'll probably be shut down my the police again.

I don't really know Jake personally. I know all of him, but never spoke to him. I just couldn't stay in that house. Hearing Jerry threaten to kill someone if he doesn't get his money.

I walked up to the house. There was a couple making out right in front of the door. Finally, I made it past them and entered the house. There were nasty girls and drunk boys. Some people were sober and acting normal. But a majority of every were acting like animals.

"Hey babe wanna drink?" Asked a short boy.

"No thanks I don't drink," I replied. He walked away looking at me as if was crazy.

All of a sudden Marisa Moon was walking straight in my direction. She looked sober, but still evil. "Hey Erica is Michael here with you sweetheart," she asked sweetly.

"No, I don't think he's coming tonight."

"Oh, who's gonna be your hero tonight then?" Marisa asked.

I noticed people were starting to crowd around us. I was confused and scared. Marisa's friend handed her a drink. Then Marisa threw it at me.

I stood there frozen in shock. I wished I had never came. Finally, I ran toward the door. Then everything else was a blur.

I pushed to door opened hard and quick. Shit I hit a girl right in the head. She fell right to the ground. Then I heard police sirens. Jake's parties always ended with the police at them. I grabbed the beautiful girl and put her over my shoulders.

She started to wake up once we reached the car. "What happened where am I? Why am I wet? What's going on? " She asked.

"I don't know why your wet. All I know is I knocked you out. Now I'm taking you home. By the way where do you live," I asked?

"You knocked me out and now think I want you to ride me home?"

"Look it was an accident. If it weren't for me, you would have woke up at the police station."

"Oh, well you can just let me out here."

"Stop being stubborn I'm taking you home," I said seriously. I seen her before somewhere.

"I DONT WANNA GO HOME!" She yelled. Her eyes were watering. She tried to turn away so I wouldn't see.

"Okay," I said quietly. She's obviously not going home. I guess I can take her to my place.
