The sun was setting as Alexia returned home from her daily rehab session. The exhaustion from her physical therapy was evident in the lines of her face and the weary look in her eyes. She missed the days when soccer was her only concern, when running across the field was second nature. But now, every step she took was a deliberate effort.

As she entered her apartment, she was greeted by the excited barks of Nala, her loyal and ever-enthusiastic dog. Nala jumped around her, her tail wagging furiously. Alexia managed a weary smile, the warmth of her dog's affection providing some comfort on an otherwise challenging day.

However, there was another surprise awaiting her. As she stepped further into her living room, she caught sight of a familiar figure standing by the window. It was Jenni, a suitcase at her side and a radiant smile on her face. Alexia's heart leaped in her chest, and with a burst of energy, she practically sprinted toward her friend.

"Jenni!" she exclaimed, leaping into her arms, her injured knee momentarily forgotten. The two friends embraced in a tight hug, sharing a moment of joy and relief. Nala joined in the excitement, barking and wagging her tail even more vigorously.

As they pulled away from the hug, Alexia looked at Jenni in disbelief. "What are you doing here? How did you even...?"

Jenni chuckled, ruffling Alexia's hair affectionately. "I couldn't stay away, and I didn't want you to go through this alone. I bought a plane ticket and here I am." She then glanced around the apartment and added, "I hope you don't mind me crashing here for a while."

Alexia's eyes welled up with tears, overwhelmed by her friend's unwavering support. "Mind? I couldn't be happier, Jenni. I've missed you so much, and your surprise visit is just what I needed."

They settled down on the sofa, with Nala making herself comfortable between them. Jenni reached into her backpack, pulling out a few items. "I brought some things to help you with your age regression journey. I've got some coloring books, crayons, and even a journal for you to write down your thoughts and feelings during the process."

Alexia's heart swelled with gratitude as she looked at the thoughtful gifts. "Thank you, Jenni. You have no idea how much this means to me."

Jenni smiled, her eyes filled with understanding and compassion. "We're in this together, Alexia. We'll explore age regression step by step, and I'll be here to support you every day."

As the evening unfolded, the two friends caught up on life and shared their dreams and aspirations. Jenni's presence was a ray of hope in Alexia's life, a testament to the enduring strength of their friendship. With Jenni by her side, she felt a renewed sense of determination to face her injury, rehabilitation, and the world of age regression therapy.
