The sun was now high in the sky, and it was time for Alexia's scheduled rehab session. Jenni knew that helping Alexia transition out of her age regression state could be challenging, but it was essential for her to attend her rehabilitation. She approached her friend with a gentle smile, trying to gently coax her back to her adult self.
"Alexia, it's time to get ready for your rehab," Jenni said in a calm and soothing tone, hoping to guide her back to her adult mindset.
However, Alexia, who was still in her age regression state, responded by acting like a stubborn toddler. She shook her head vigorously, her eyes wide, and yelled in her baby voice, "No, no, don't wanna go! It's boring!"
Jenni's heart sank as she saw the resistance in her friend's eyes. She understood that Alexia was finding solace in her regression, and the thought of returning to her adult responsibilities was distressing. She tried to reason with her gently, "I know it might not be the most exciting thing, but it's important, sweetie. You need to continue with your rehab to get better."
But Alexia was adamant, her frustration growing. She crossed her arms and pouted, her cheeks flushed with stubbornness. "No, no, no! I wanna stay here and play with my teddy bear!"
Jenni felt a mix of emotions as she tried to convince her friend. She knew that the age regression therapy had provided comfort, but she also understood the importance of Alexia's rehabilitation for her recovery. She spoke softly but firmly, "Alexia, I understand that age regression is fun, but you can always come back to it later. Right now, let's focus on getting you back to your rehab, okay?"
But Alexia was not easily swayed. She continued to act like a brat, throwing a small tantrum and yelling in her baby voice, her protests growing louder and more adamant.
Jenni tried to maintain her composure, her patience and love for her friend unwavering. She knew that coaxing Alexia back to her adult self could take time and understanding. She gently took her friend's hand and said, "I promise, after your rehab, we can come back and have more fun with your teddy bear. But for now, we need to be responsible. Can you do that for me?"
Alexia's lower lip quivered, torn between her desire to stay in her regression and her trust in her friend. After a moment of hesitation, she let out a soft, defeated sigh and nodded. "Okay, fine. But I wanna come back here with my teddy bear later, promise!"
Jenni smiled and squeezed her hand reassuringly. "I promise, sweetie. We'll come back later."
With that, they began the process of helping Alexia transition out of her age regression state and prepare for her rehab session. It was a challenging morning, but both friends knew that the journey toward healing required a balance between the comfort of age regression and the responsibilities of adulthood.
