I was still debating with myself on if I wanted to actually quit my job. To be honest, I wouldn't mind being a stay at home mom for a while.

This would give me even more time with Mason since he's been in daycare everyday this week.. Well except for today since he's with Chris, and it would also help me decide on doing online schooling since babygirl would be here soon. I stopped counting because I wanted it to fly by.

Chris and I decided to name her Madison, but we haven't chosen a middle name for her just yet.

Letting out a breath I got up from the table in the break room cleaning up my lunch mess before I waddled like a penguin to my managers Lucas's office.

Knocking on his door he motioned for me to sit in the chair adjacent from his desk.

"How can I help you Taelyn? Looking for extra hours for you and baby?" He questioned as I smiled a little, shaking my head no I rubbed my stomach as baby girl moved around inside on me, she was actually in my ribs and it was uncomfortable as hell.

"No, not at all. I actually wanted to come to you directly about putting in my two weeks? With my pregnancy progressing I really don't want to be on my feet much anymore." I said already trying not to cry, I loved working here and the staff was sweet all the time, but I was tired.

"Oh yeah, you're almost in the beginning of your last trimester.. Hmm, how about this. You take maternity leave when it's time, and then when you come back you can fully decide if you'd like to leave. I mean we love having you here at the restaurant, but I respect your decision if this is something you'd like to no longer do."

I nodded trying to hold back my tears. I'm such a crybaby; these damn pregnancy hormones. "It's not that I don't want to be here anymore, I'm just tired all the time now and would prefer to relax.. You know?"

"I get it, trust me. My wife was the same way when she was pregnant with our son. I ended up just telling her that if she preferred to be a stay at home mom for a while, then I'd take on the responsibility."

"Wow, my fiancé literally told me that a few days ago."

"I'd take him up on the offer if I were you, you'd get to relax, bond with baby and your son.. Sounds fun to me." He said with a chuckle as I smiled.

"Yeah, I might do it. I did submit my paperwork for maternity leave in a few weeks. I just thought I'd come to you first."

"And I appreciate you coming to me to discuss this," He smiled and I returned the polite gesture. "is your break over?"

I looked at my phone to check the time. "Almost."

"Would you like to go home early today? It's a little slow, I'll get someone to cover the rest of your shift."
