Chapter 5, Crash Zone

An ear ringing buzz would block all sound around the dust cloud riddled ruins of the corrupted village as the bodies of Teams RWBY and JNPR laid unconscious in the bullhead crash zone until the ringing would fade away slowly as seven out of the eight Beacon students slowly started waking back up, with Yang being the first to stagger to her feet. Yang would look around the crash site until her eyes would land on the still unconscious and pale Ruby, with the blonde bombshell immediately rushing toward her little sister in a limping jog before picking Ruby up in her arms.

Yang: "Ruby! Ruby, wake up!"

There would be no response from the younger sibling as Yang would hurriedly lay her on her back and check for Ruby's pulse. Fortunately Ruby was still breathing with a pulse, which Yang sighed with relief before noticing everyone was walking toward the siblings.

Blake: "Ruby needs medical attention, we need to find a way back to Vale"

Yang would nod her head and pick Ruby back up gently before everyone would begin walking in the direction of the city.

Weiss: "Did anything like a scroll or an emergency flare survive the crash without being damaged?"

Pyrrha: "Unfortunately no, all that came out of the crash unscathed was some of our weapons. Only Nora's, Yangs, Blake's and Ruby's weapons are not broken"

Weiss would sigh sadly at this as the group all continued to wander through the forest, but everyone would stop upon hearing growling behind them. They'd all turn to see what was behind them and would see a small pack symbiote offspring before everyone except Yang, who was still holding Ruby, who still had functional weapons pulled them out and got ready for a fight.

Yang: "Dammit, I thought we killed them all with the crash!"

Blake: "none of us are in no condition to fight these things, what do we do?!"

As they all backed up with the offspring creeping closer Ruby would suddenly let out a fit of sickly coughs which caught the attention of the beasts, as they would all charge toward the group with their sights on Ruby. Nora would see this and use her hammer to slam into four of them at once, sending them flying into the other three offspring.

Weiss: "They know Ruby's vulnerable, they're targeting her!"

Pyrrha: "Don't let them get to Yang and Ruby!"

After making this statement Pyrrha would stand with Nora and Blake before using her semblance to magnetize large and jagged scraps of the ship over to the group to use as shields and weapons. All seven of the symbiote offspring would charge toward the group with two of them pouncing on Pyrrha only to be blocked by her shield scraps, another two attacking Blake from front and back as she tried to fight them both back, and the final three surrounding Nora.

Pyrrha would use the metal scraps to telekinetically shield bash the two offspring and send them over to Nora who'd hit them back with her hammer like a baseball bat and use the momentum of her swing to spin around in a 360 and squash one the beasts she had on her like a bug, then switching her hammer into it's grenade launcher form and stuffing a grenade in one of the other offspring's mouth only to switch back to her hammer and smash the beast into the third one before the grenade exploded both. Blake would use her sword to parry a slash from one of the offspring she was fighting and slice it's claw off before kicking the one behind her in the face to send it back, before turning around aas the first beast went to pounce on her and stabbing it in the head through it's upper jaw. Pyrrha would move the metal scraps to each side of one of the offspring and would crush it by smashing both pieces together, then throwing one of the jagged pieces into the other beast to decapitate it before throwing the other scrap metal toward the last beast by Blake to chop it in half.
