*Roxanne's POV*

I could've just slapped his face once again. I kept thinking to myself as I grumpily had my breakfast with Sango, Miroku, Shippo & Kirara, practically in a hurry before Kagome who had gone to look for InuYasha would came back with him. Fortunately I was able to finish my breakfast before his arrival though. I excused myself before standing up to leave; I swear I could sense the rest of the groups' eyes staring at me. Not bothering to clear their vague mind, I quickly slid the door open & stepped out, but only to bang myself on none other than InuYasha's chest. I took a quick step back, glaring at him as he glared back at me. I kept shooting a still glare for a second while he carried a perplexed face along. Soon after, I slipped myself out of the room as I heard Kagome calling out to me which I ignored. I swung my backpack from my room then stood by the porch as I waited for the others to finish with their meal slowly.

Kagome: Sorry to keep you waiting.

Roxanne: That's ok; it was good for me anyway.

Kagome: So then, the next spot we need to get is towards the west.

And so we strolled in our own pace; I kept walking beside Kagome & Shippo, led by InuYasha and behind us followed by Miroku & Sango.

Roxanne: Hey Kagome, would you teach me sometime?

Kagome: Huh?

Roxanne: To use bow & arrow.

Kagome: Oh these? *holding on her bow*

Roxanne: Yeah, they look like the kind of weapon I could use it too. I mean, I can't really be screaming & hiding all the time whenever we're attacked by any demons.

Kagome: Sure I'll teach you.

Roxanne: You will? Oh thanks!

I smiled in content. I had been thinking of being useful in some sort of a way during our journey. In the mean while, as me & Kagome were joking about some other things, we both almost bumped into InuYasha's back.

*InuYasha's POV*

Kagome: InuYasha?

InuYasha: ... It's a demon.

Miroku: A demon?

InuYasha: I can smell it; its Sesshoumaru's scent.

I had been getting a /very/ familiar scent of a demon not long while back but I had to stop on my track when I smelt blood altogether. But why should the smell be only nostalgic in different sort of way...

InuYasha: And I smell blood as well.

We all stood there still for a while.

Kagome: InuYasha, did you say Sesshoumaru and blood?

Miroku: Is he from somewhere close by?

Miroku's question was replied then as Sesshoumaru jumped out of the forest right in front of us. We all gasped at the sight of his appearance; he was in his true form so no wonder I felt somewhat strange with the scent I was getting from him. His baring teeth was covered in blood though.

Miroku: But why is he in his true form?

Sango: Something just doesn't seem right.

I immediately pulled out my Tetsaiga, ready to slash at him if he made any move on us.

InuYasha: Alright Sesshoumaru, what brings you here?

But it only kept standing there, glaring & baring & growling at us, not a sound of a reply. I felt even more strange. Why is he only standing there growling?

InuYasha: Peh! Well looks to me like you've turned into a wild animal who can only growl now.

I kept staring at its eyes which I caught moving its way behind me -- at Roxanne. And then it suddenly got into a position as if to pounce at us. I groaned when it suddenly did, but it jumped way back behind us then vanished into the thick forest.

...

What the...?

*Roxanne's POV*

As soon as InuYasha said that there was a demon named Sesshoumaru nearby, all I felt was a strong heartbeat and a panic. I tried hard not to show it, but as the demon all of a sudden jumped in front of us, I gave a shriek. As I heard InuYasha addressing this huge fluffy demon, I felt Kagome taking her bow in her hand. I internally badly wished I had a weapon of my own so to protect myself; or all of us. I looked at the large white dog's glaring eyes fixed on me. I suddenly felt numb and cold while my mind went blank. And the last I felt after that was hitting my head on Sango's chest behind me as I fainted.
