"They're leaving already?"

Gab followed Alex's line of sight and saw Ian talking to Lucas and his friends; their hands were occupied by luggage as they exited the hotel.

"That's great, then. Your exes won't bother you anymore."

Theo received a frown from his best friend. "May I remind you, you mischievous bear, that you are the one who suggested we spend our vacation here?" he says back with little energy, even though the day has just started.

Knowing Theo's plans was never difficult for Gab. He has always managed to read his thoughts, which enables them to act accordingly, especially during those times when they tried to stop Angel from having the same relationship with Lucas, and it was successful, hence the pure platonic friendship between the two.

Now, Theo is obviously cooking something again by choosing this specific place among all the other resorts owned by Ian and Chinna's parents. He really knows how to surprise me.

"It's because I know how clingy she is," he explains while swimming around the pool they are in. "I also know that as soon as she comes back, she will try to get you back too. I'm just showing her that you're restricted and that you have Chinna now."

Gab is well aware of the bad things he did last night, which is why Theo's words hit him in such a way that he starts to feel a bit of regret while looking at Rina, who is smiling at him at the other end of the pool. He smiled back but with a hint of guilt in his eyes.

I need to fix this.

But first, he must clear up his confused mind. "I'll just get some drinks."

His relationship with Chinna may look pretty casual, but it is complicated, just like most couples are. Gab never courted her; it was after she lost to him in a street race last year that she caught feelings that were more than brotherly love. Since then, she has shown interest in him after knowing that Gab called off his relationship with Angel.

It began as a fling, as she was aware that Gab was not in the right state at that time to commit; until months passed, they were still dating, so the two just let themselves go along with the flow that they had started.

The sad and annoying part is that Gab knows she has fallen for him, and Chinna is just too kind not to force herself on him.

"You look like you just came from a funeral."

Gab lifted his head only to see Lucas taking an interest in the second swing in front of him. I thought they were leaving?

"Have you reflected on your actions?" he asks while swinging his seat slowly.

Sighing in slight annoyance due to Lucas' taunting appearance, Gab humbled himself. "Yes. I know what I did was wrong, so I'm sorry. I just drank a lot last night."
