CHAPTER 44

AUTHOR'S POV:

Pooja scanned her ID in the entrance of the hospital entering inside greeting everyone on the way.

She went to her cabin and kept her things on the table and weared her white coat and went to report to her senior. That is Dr. Armaan.

On the way to Armaan's cabin she saw her besties Maha and Divya and hugged them and went to his cabin

She went inside his cabin. She waved her team members hi!

Pooja- good morning doctor
She said to Armaan. He nodded.

Armaan- so now shall we start. Ok. So today it's not a normal duty for us. Our hospital is conducting a free camp for patients who can't treated because of high payment. As neurological department we assigned for that work. I want two of them to go with me. Who is interested?
He asked eyeing everyone.

Pooja and her team member Priya raised her hand. Armaan nodded his head and asked two of them follow him and others to do their usual duty.

Three of them went to other side of the hospital where the camp is conducted.

Like that they all started doing their work separating themselves.

After few hours there was a emergency in the hospital for neurology department but armaan was busy so he said pooja to attend it. She immediately went to other side of the hospital to see some lady police officers and a patient who was unconscious on the bed.

She immediately went there and asked what happened checking the patient.

Lady police- nothing I was enquiring about the case to this criminal and by the process he fainted. I don't know.
She said without caring about the patient and replied lathargicly making Pooja angry on her. She saw her name on her name plate "Ms.latha (inspector)"

Pooja- Ms. Latha please reply with some responsibility mam. By seeing his condition I can clearly say that you have tortured him till he fainted bleeding on his head. And for this I can file a case against you.
She said as calmer as possible. And asked the nurse to take him inside the operation theater and make the preparation.

Latha got angry on Pooja for creating a scene and went near her and took the gun in her hand and kept it on pooja's stomach making Pooja scare on the contact of gun on her.

Before she saw gun on their room but she never tried to touch it. But today it is on her made her fear the most.

Latha- mind you words doctor otherwise I can shoot you here and escape as easily as I shoot you. And I want you to not save him. Kill him. If he is saved then I will kill you whole family. So do as I say. Understood?
She threatened her not knowing what trouble she is getting herself into.

Pooja gulped and didn't say anything. Seeing nurse coming their side latha left her and went away making Pooja breath in relief.

She took a deep breath and decided to say about this to mithran. She went to operation theater and started the procedure.

After 5 hours of operation with the help of her senior doctor not armaan. They finally saved the patient and smiled at each other. Congratulating each other they came out to see the latha there.

Senior Dr- mam he is fine. We will discharge him after his recovery.
She said went from there.

Latha glared Pooja and went from there.
Pooja sighed in relief and went to end her shift because it so already 4:30pm. End of her shift.

She went to her room and collected her things and scanned out and went to parking to take her bike.

She started it and drove to her home after messaging mithran that she is leaving to home.

On the way she saw a lady stopping her for lift. She stopped and asked where she wants to go.

Lady- ma t-nagar la drop pandrigala? Please
( will you drop me in t-nagar?)
She asked. Pooja nodded and started the bike after making the Lady sit comfortably behind her.

They were about to reach t-nagar but on the way some police were checking everyone on the way. Pooja sighed and said the same to that Lady.

Police came to her and started checking her. She opened her seat to show them and shocked to see drugs packet inside.
Pooja don't know how that got inside her seat. She is about to explain but

Lady- we got caught. Don't you know where to keep those things idiot.
She said like she knew Pooja for so many days.

Pooja saw her in wide eyes what nonsense she is talking.

Police- you both come to SI madam. She very well know how to treat like you people.
She said dragged both of them to inspector madam. Pooja don't know what happening to her.

Pooja- please I didn't do anything. I don't know who is Lady. She was asking for lift  in the middle of the way and I have her lift. Please believe me mam. Please
She said but without hearing her she dragged them to police officer.

Pooja saw inspector latha whom she saw earlier in hospital who threatened her.

She went to her and said.

Pooja- mam please believe me. I didn't do anything like they are thinking I don't know how that got inside my seat. Please say to them that I work in the reputed hospital please.
She begged her. But in return latha smirked at her and came near her.

Latha- what happened constable?
She asked.

Constable- mam these both are kidnapping drugs inside their bike seat and we know that this Lady beside this girl is a prostitute and I think this girl is new to this business but I am sure they are criminals.
She said shocking Pooja more and she saw the Lady who came with Pooja.

Latha- what amala ( prostitute) is she new?
She asked

Amala- yes mam. New girl.
She said

Latha- ok what girl how many of you slept with?
She asked seeing her disgustingly and smirking making pooja's inside collapse hearings her speaking dirty.

Pooja- mam please believe me I don't know who she is. And I am a doctor you know that and my husband is also a police and I am newly married please leave me. Please
She begged continuously crying.

Latha- ohhh nice story. Constable get them on the Jeep. sir will decide what we should do with these ladies.
She said and went inside the car and drove off to police station.

Pooja don't know what she should do. She searched her phone and about to call mithran but constable snatched her phone and throwed it making it break into pieces. And pushed her inside the Jeep harshly. In the process pooja got hurt on her hand cried more because of pain. Her brain is not working she don't know how she will reach mithran.

She prayed to herself " Mithran save me"
