So, I have some creepypasta lore stuff I wanna put down, so where else to put it but here?
This is all headcanon stuff for the Past Mistakes AU and whatnot, sorry if it's messy these are all just rough ideas and such.
So! Let's start with Jeff the killer and Jane the killer, two creepypastas I'm sure most have heard of.
Jeff's story is, uh, mostly the same I guess? He moves into a new neighborhood with his family, a bunch of asshole kids his age harass him for months on end. People barely do anything about it when he asks for help.
Jeff, his brother, and the kids that harass him are all invited to the same birthday party one day- and a fistfight breaks out between all of them at the party. A grill is knocked over during the fight, and a fire breaks out and quickly spreads. Jeff and two other people are trapped inside of a shed, which, surprise surprise, is on fire.
Jeff passes out but eventually wakes up in the hospital, bandages cover his back, arms, and legs. He's been burnt badly, but will soon heal and be able to go home. Once he does, things are fine for the next few days.
I... honestly have no clue what exactly would make Jeff snap and cut his face up and want to kill people- but, he does. Now onto Jane's whole story, which is mainly the same, she's just one of Jeff's neighbors that got roped up into the party fistfight but got out unscathed.
She sees Jeff coming home from the hospital, and decides to put a 'get well soon' card and some candy on his porch. Just to be nice and all.
Jane would eventually wander into Jeff's house shortly after hearing some gunshots go off. She knows it's dangerous, but she called the police- doesn't mean that going in there still isn't dangerous. But she's not the most sensible 14 year old- and frankly, neither are her parents, as they went in there too. So all of them are sort of dumb.
She nearly winds up dying there because Jeff has lost his mind, locked everyone including himself in the house, and set the place on fire. She eventually passes out from inhaling too much smoke, but luckily she wakes up in the hospital. Her parents are there, badly injured with burns, some scrapes and maybe a fractured bone or two from trying to get out, but alive nonetheless.
Hearing from multiple news channels on the TV about the murders that Jeff has committed, she goes after him once her injuries are mostly healed, wanting to stop him before anyone else winds up dead. She leaves once she knows that her parents are almost completely healed.
She does find him quite a few times- although she never manages to fully stop him, just make him run off to find another target. She chases him for months, until the last time they encounter one another.
Jeff breaks into a random house, intending to kill the entire family inside, but the mother calls the police and the father gets his handgun. Jeff is shot in the back twice before he runs out of the house, only to be cornered by the police. Jane had just arrived at the house's backyard just a minute earlier.
Jeff refuses to do anything the police say and he's shot multiple times, Jane tries to intervene, yelling at them to stop and that he's her friend, but it's too late. Both of them unfortunately died that night.
Jane follows Jeff's soul into Hell once they're both sent into the Afterlife, hoping that she can finally somehow bring him to his senses.
Jeff wakes up in one of the hospitals of Hell, brought back to his former self after so long. The doctors there had used hypnosis and a few surgeries to bring him back. The cuts on his face are still healing. He's mostly okay, confused, but okay. He's soon released from the hospital, left to wander around Hell.
The poor guy is still completely confused about everything. Then he meets some kind of demon, one that looks a lot like a dog, yet isn't. The dog won't stop following him around, and politely introduces itself as "Smile Dog", which freaks him out at first.
Smile Dog talks with him for a bit, choosing not to talk much, seeing how Jeff is sorta freaked out by him. He then offers Jeff a job at his camera store - it's a way for him to get some extra cash aside from getting people to spread his image - he also promises Jeff that he could sleep in the back storage room if he'd like and would even make part of it cozy for him.
Jeff thinks about it for a moment, then asks how much he'll get paid. Smile Dog replies that he'd pay him "just enough". Jeff asks to give him a number. "Hm.. twenty bucks a day."
Jeff then agrees. He arrives at the address that Smile Dog gave him the next day, only to see that Jane is there as well. Turns out that Smile Dog had hired her, too. Why? Well, he needed someone to run the place while he's gone.
So, they both work at the same place. Things are awkward between the both of them, since Jeff barely knows Jane from being in the same school and Jane realizes that Jeff doesn't remember a thing from the past few years.
They slowly become friends, doing favors for one another, telling funny family stories they remember, talking about games they've played and movies they'd liked.
Aannndd they all become good friends.
A used to be murder that's now just a chill teenager, a friend of his that's just glad he's better, aannnddd a demonic dog who can kill people in the blink of an eye if he wanted.
Truly the best trio of friends.
