It's lunch break.

Of course, mostly everyone goes to the cafeteria at this point, others go to the arena, to the gymnasium, and such places. But me, I'm always having my lunch in the greenhouse. I loved it here, since most of the time this area is vacant, most especially on the very corner of it, where the common myrtle grow. Myrtus communis, or is also known as true myrtle. Normally, myrtles only grow as big as a shrub, but this one here is huge, it must have given free reign for so long. The myrtle plant has been long associated with fertility, purity, and most especially, love. The flowers, berries, and leaves--everything in the plant is loaded with fragrance. It has an intense herbal-like aromatic-floral note with a Mediterranean profile to it. Its flowers have a deeply spicy perfume emanating that is very rich and attractive. Its leaves release an aromatic and refreshing smell, somewhat reminiscent to eucalypt. The plant is very fabulous, indeed.

I just finished eating the contents of my lunch box. Before I could have my rest, I heard some footsteps which have disturbed me on finding my peace of mind. I turned my head to see who it was, and it was a guy with ash blonde hair, muscular physique, fair complexion, wearing a white tank top, a light blue Xavier-Gremory Academy varsity jacket, denim, and Air Jordan shoes. And then he waved at me.

His name is Brian Whaley, one of the three students of Xavier-Academy's Class X, alongside the Gremory Siblings. His superhuman abilities are liquification, a type of shape-shifting, ability to turn partially or completely into liquid, and water and moisture manipulation.

He's the only guy I can talk about things I would mostly not tell others, thoughts, how was my day, and the like. Besides the Professor, he's the other one who I put my one hundred percent trust. Even though he can be annoying at times, he's a great friend.

I still remember the day when I first met him.

Three years earlier...

'Twas the time of midwinter, and it was the middle of lunch break. On this very same spot, I was sitting there alone, eating the contents of my lunch box. When I got finished, I started to pick the berries of the myrtle, and eat it, as they are edible. Then, I heard some footsteps, coming towards where am I. It was a boy, a twelve year-old boy. He was pretty tall for his age.

"Uhh...hey there..." the boy said, looking uneasy. Since I have empathic abilities, I read inside his mind to know why.

"You are lost, aren't you? I can tell a lost puppy when I see one."

"Um, sort of...yeah." the boy said while scratching his head.

"For the multiple facilities here in Xavier-Gregory Academy, how on Earth did you end up here?"

"...That kid with that teleportation brought me here! He was with those goon-y kids! He said that he's going to teleport me to Class 11!"

"I know where the exit is, but you may want to calm down first."

"..Oh, hehe..." and by that, he immediately calmed down. Mainly because he is surrounded by greenery.

As he looked all around, with his hands on his pockets, only by then he realized what beauty the gardens contain.

"Woah, this is magnificent!" he said amazed, "it's like paradise!"

As I looked all around too, he was right, its paradise. Seeing the different species of florae, the ones that blooms only in tropics to the ones that grow only in deciduous climates, takes my breath away. Everytime.

"...Oh, where are my manners? I'm Brian Whaley. Nice meeting you." he said while offering a handshake.

"Caitlin. Marie Caitlin Dupont." and shaked his hands.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, so, where will we go?"

"Follow me." I said while walking on the path towards the exit, while he follows.

Moments later...

As we went outside, Brian shouted, "The goons!"

I looked to the left side of me, to where he is pointing, and far away, I saw Blaze, Aqua, Terra, Breeze & Light, talking to a guy. As I suspected, they were the ones liable.
