"I'm drunk on a flower called you,
No matter what they say,
I'll choose to love you anyway,
'Cause you're my Dahlia."

"I have one final question for you, Meilin." The woman in front of her said. "If you could do it all again, would you?" Her question made Meilin smile, as she formed a reply inside she head. She thought about everything that had happened in her past.

From the corner of her eye, she saw Lisa smile to herself. She knew Meilin's answer before Meilin herself did, as always. Her thoughts wandered. For several years, more bad things happened than good things, but today, December 18th 2019, Meilin could conclude that despite all those bad things, she liked her life. She didn't mind the horrors of her past because they were now overshadowed by the memories of her friends and family

"Yes, I would." She answered, smiling widely. "I struggled a lot, but for this outcome? I wouldn't even hesitate to do it all again. It's worth it." Several people behind the camera's smiled, but Meilin ignored them. The question made her flustered enough as it was.

"Thank you, Meilin. It was good to have you, I hope you have a nice day." The interviewer nodded politely.

"Thank you for having me." Meilin turned to the camera. "Don't forget to stream my new single 'Dahlia'. Buh-bye!" The camera's cut off, and Lisa jumped away from behind the director, grinning.

"You did amazing! Come on, he's waiting." She grabbed Meilin's hand and pulled her along to the dressing room so she could change back into her own clothes. Lisa's excitement was infecting her best friend as well, because Meilin could barely keep herself from squealing in delight.

As soon as she was done changing, Meilin was already being dragged to the exit of the building, where a van and a car were waiting. Lisa kissed Meilin's cheek before she made her way to the van, and Meilin turned to the car. Minghao was already standing next to the passenger door, arms folded impatiently but with a playful smile on his lips. Meilin grinned as she ran towards him and threw her arms around his neck. Minghao embraced her tightly before he put her down on the floor again and took her hand.

Meilin giggled when he lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to the lone ring that decorated it. The ring he had placed there himself just the day before, on their fifth anniversary. The ring Meilin would forever treasure, even after it would be replaced with the actual wedding ring. Her forever favorite accessory.

As Minghao helped her into his car, Meilin was even more sure of her decision. She had been sure when she answered his question, but she felt even more confident about her answer now.

She wanted to spend her life with this man.

     And she would.

     FIN.
