Now, you're probably wondering, 'Elle, why are you alone? It's safer to be in a group'.

Although you're not wrong, the world has changed a great deal in the last 7 months...... and so have the people.

They have become selfish and heartless. As the saying goes, 'Every man for himself'.

There is also another variable that explains why I'm alone. I'm an orphan.
That's right, you heard me. An orphan.
And before you say anything, I don't need, nor do I want your sympathy. I mean... I've lasted this long, haven't I? And, in my opinion, I've turned out alright in the end.

However, I wasn't always alone....

Before the apocalypse, i had two best friends, Jack and Cara. The three of us were an inseperable team... that is until the apocalypse.

We were separated during the chaos of it all. I don't know where they are, but what I know for sure is that they have each other. And, to me, that's all that matters.

I do hope that I will one day be able to see them again... but that is only a hope. It doesn't mean it will happen. But I'll be darned if I let that stop me. I mean, you have to have 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 to look forward to... right?

Now, enough of the doom and gloom.

Let's move on to a more upbeat topic of conversation, shall we?
I'm 15 year old girl with no rules, no school, and no responsibilities!

This is basically every child's dream. So, I might as well enjoy it to the fullest whilst I still can.
