Within an office, Custom Oak wood table, regal awards by a shelf, high level books for law and philosophy, papers sorted from A to Z, and a person by the table doing his paper work
*knock* *knock*
"Come in" said the person
Said person looks like a man in his 40's, grey hair, specs hanging on his face, said face has wrinkles adorning it, wearing a
"Good morning sir" said a teen as he entered the office, "I'm here for an interview"
"Ah.... You are mister?" He said as he reached out a file and had opened it, "Xander Nova..... You have a very extended resume here.... And a very long list of accolades.... And I see you retired from active duty just a month ago... And from the 105th strike core battalion"
He paused from reading as he flipped the page, smiling as he then pushed his spectacles upward
"And lastly... Given the rank of Captain?" He said bemused, "I would Never know what's going in that head of yours Mr. Nova..... Or should I say: 'the Infamous Pilot Prodigy: Raptor'"
Xander didn't portray any emotions, as per his time in the army, he just looked at the headmaster with a prestige of a Captain
"That's me sir" Xander said giving off a salute, "I just want to ask something before we start the interview"
"Go ahead" said the headmaster as he sipped on his coffee
"Why did you scout for me specifically?" He asked now portraying a questioning look, "I had already graduated from the academy with a starting rank of Ensign, so why invite me to this academy... Wouldn't it be more better for me to enter the old fashioned way?"
"Oh Captain, captain, captain...." Said the headmaster now amused, "I invited you to simply, challenge the status quo, with your experience from your army days, I'm sure you can lighten up most of the wanna be pilots within this school"
"Right....." Xander, surprised gave off a small smirk, "Sir... I may be a prodigy pilot.... I can't change anyone's outlook, nor their own fighting skills"
"But still, you can inspire them" he said with a smile now, "everyone that graduated has always used the same strategy over and over, long range combat, even going as far as equipping the same old load out"
"Ah, I see" Xander exclaimed, "it's basically saying: 'what's the point in getting closer if I can shoot them from miles away'"
"Indeed..." The headmaster now with a somber tone, "that's why specifically, I had to invite you"
"I see" Xander now a bit relaxed, "no further questions sir"
"Very well, I'll assign you to a post within a lab of a friend of mine" the headmaster now picked up a new file while placing down the file he had, "but right now, let's start with an interview. Let's start with: 'what is your full name?'"
"My name is Xander Albion Nova" he said with a smile, "and I want to get In your school sir"
