When Sakura arrived at the training ground the next morning, both Naruto and Sasuke was already there. Naruto looks at her and gave her a sleepy wave, yawning in the process while Sasuke sends a nod her way. Sakura wonders if this Kakashi will arrive in time or be late like her Kakashi was.

But by 6am sharp, the man himself finally makes an appearance. Something Sakura knows her Kakashi wouldn't do. The three genins stilled and Sakura unconsciously sat up straighter.

''It's good that everyone made it. It would have been difficult if one of you had resign now.'' Kakashi starts off. Sakura doesn't missed the stare Kakashi gave her, and Sakura couldn't help but feel offended. It makes sense why he was wary of her, especially considering her civillian background. Civillians don't usually do well as shinobi for too long. Either they die in field or ends up behind a desk. Everyone knows that. There are sometimes exceptions to that and Sakura is willing to prove she's one of the exceptions.

''Now, do you all know how to do basic katas?'' Kakashi looks at Sasuke first who nods confidently, then Sakura who nods and then turns to Naruto who sheepishly shakes his head.

''Uzumaki, show me what you know. Uchiha and Haruno begin your own katas.'' He instructs, and Sasuke and Sakura wasted no time to get into their own stance of katas.

Sakura peeked at what Naruto was doing and was appaled that none of the basic academy katas that was taught was actually being performed by Naruto. Considering how focus Naruto was performing this, he genuinely thinks his mess of body movement was actual katas.

''Who was your teacher, Uzumaki?'' It must be so appaling that Kakashi also had thought the same.

''M-Mizuki-sensei!'' Naruto said, and Sakura could see the disgust and anger rolling off from Kakashi in waves.

''Forget everything that man had taught you.'' Kakashi tells him, and although Naruto is confuse, he nods obediently.

Kakashi suddenly turns to the remaining two genin of the team, ''Now, Uchiha, your clan katas are good, but could be better. You are too stiffed.'' Sakura wasn't aware they were being evaluated too.

Sasuke took full offence of that. ''I-''

''I do not want to be interrupted, Uchiha. If you want to get stronger, you need to learn to accept critisms,'' Kakashi glared at the young Uchiha, effectively driving his point and silencing the boy.

''Haruno!'' Sakura flinched when her name is called, ''your katas stance are the best, but they are basic.''

Understandably it was basic because it had been the basic academy katas. It's not that Sakura couldn't do a more advanced Katas but it was because at this time and age, Haruno Sakura, the fresh genin from a civillian family wouldn't have had other source to follow. Sakura knows it would have been odd for her to suddenly pulled and use the Senju Katas Tsunade had taught her.

Suddenly, Kakashi gets into his own stance, and showed everyone his practice of katas. It was fast and precise.

''These are the Hatake katas. As my students, you are all allowed to use them.'' He tells them

That comes off as another surprise to Sakura. In her past, Kakashi had never taught them his clan katas. The only legacy he had left behind or passed down was his Chidori to Sasuke.

"Remember because I won't show you again. I want everyone to master their katas by the end of the week." Kakashi said, and Sakura nods. That sounds possible.

Kakashi turns to Sasuke again, "Uchiha, as you have your own clan katas, you may choose to use this or even intergrate them into your routine."

Sakura couldn't help but wonder if Sasuke would integrate the katas style or choose to honour his clan and solely stick with his own. With how Kakashi has been treating them all, Sakura dared say that he might have gotten Sasuke's respect and obedience too. Well at least for now.

"Now that we're done with katas. Let's see what you all can do." Kakashi grins, his lone eye squinting slightly. Sakura gulps. Sakura knows what that look means. It means he's not afraid to torture them if it gets them to pull themselves together.

At least this Kakashi and her Kakashi has that in common. She should feel comforted by that, right?
