*Gwenns POV*
"Mom, where's the O.J.?" Jack yells across the kitchen.
"I think it's in the fridge outside hon," Kelly replies, making eggs.
"Mom I need to get to school, right now!" Annalise yells over Sarah and Omar whining.
"Here, have some toast," I toss a piece of toast to Annalise and she's out the door.
The kitchen is full of kids and I'm running around, getting everyone ready for school. Kelly is finish eggs and I'm finishing the toast. I walk over to Omar, who is in his seat crying. I start feeding him mushed bananas, and Sarah starts screaming. Kelly walks away from the eggs to give Sarah her eggs and toast.
Sarah is quiet eating her food, then I realize Jack isn't in the kitchen. I rush off, leaving Kelly with Sarah and Omar. I run upstairs and find Jack hasn't even gotten out of bed. I wake him up, and he jumps. He rushes past me, getting dressed and all. He hates being late for school.
I start down the stairs again, Jack running around getting ready. I look at my watch, it's almost time for Sarah to get to preschool. I start speeding down, and into the kitchen. Sarah is talking to Kelly, and translating for Omar.
I grab some toast and eggs for Jack, place them on the table, and grab Sarah. I quickly get all of Sarah's stuff together, give Kelly a quick hug and kiss, and I'm out the door with Sarah. We rush into the mini-van. I drive her down to Kimberly-Hills Preschool, and drop her off. Sarah loves the preschool, and loves going. On the first day, she barely glanced at me as she went in the door.
I drive back home, rushing a little. I still have to get Jack to school. Jack should be ready by now, I think. I rush home, and sure enough Jack is ready. We rush out the door again, going straight to Kimberly-Hills Elementary. Jack gives me a hug goodbye, and is off.
I make a pit-stop to Starbucks for some coffee for Kelly and I. We both need it, badly. Kelly and I do this everyday, but only get coffee once in a while. I order Kelly's favorite, and am driving back home.
I open the door, and Kelly is cleaning the kitchen. Omar is in his seat still, finished off his bananas. I give Kelly her coffee, and she thanks me. I nod and take Omar into the nursery. I let him drift into slumber, and I put him in his crib. His room is tinted a light blue, with white furniture to complement. Kelly picked them out, and I think it's beautiful.
I turn on the baby monitor, and go down stairs. I place the baby monitor on the counter. Kelly is now getting ready for her job, and I help out a little. She grins at me, and I grin back. I give her a kiss on the cheek, and she's off to save little animals. I sigh, and go back upstairs with the baby monitor, and go into Omar's room.
"It's so lonely with everyone gone, Omar," I whisper to Omar, who is fast asleep, "We should get a kitty, or a puppy."
He nods, oblivious to what I just said. I take it as a sign that we should get a kitten or a puppy. I text Kelly, saying I think it's a good idea, especially since she works at the shelter.
I sit down next to Omar, in the rocking chair. He looks so blissful, and I love it. He snores ever so slightly, filling the silent room.
"Goodnight, my baby," I whisper.
