Amnesia

"Who are all these people?" I was thinking to myself, of course, though they were giving me pretty strange looks. I was nervous, but luckily Solar spoke up for me.

"I found him in the Power Sphere's charging room.." Solar muttered, turning to me. "Why were you there anyway Hali?"

"The what room?" I questioned him, confusing taking over my previous anxiety.

"And...who's Hali?"
  
"WHAT?!--"
  
"Blaze! Quiet down!"

"..Sorry Gempa.."
 
"Gempa, Blaze, Solar, and Hali. So far those are the only names I've heard from these people."
 
"Those names do sound familiar.."
 
"Excuse us, can you stay here, me and the others have to talk a bit in privacy.." Solar nervously gestured to me, I backed away and watched them go somewhere to discuss...well, something.
 
   
    
     
    
    
     
   
"Okay, I think he has amnesia." Solar said in a blunt tone, trying to get straight to the point.

"Was Revbot supposed to do that?" The leaf elemental asked, worry tinged in his voice.

"No, I don't think so." Solar replied with a mix of uncertainty and concern
 
"I don't want to be the one to say this but I suggest we be cautious of him." Ice murmured, bringing his hood lower.

"B-But Ice! He's still Hali, right?" The pyrokinetic chimed in, against the idea of having to be suspicious of his own family.
 
A moment of silence, none of the 6 remaining elements knew what to do with their now amnesiac sibling.
 
"I hate to say it but Ice is right." An uneasy voice shattered the silence, of course, it was Cy.
 
"What are you suggesting?" Gempa asked, still undescisive.

"I saw him after he got hit by Revbot! H-He was different and I--" He couldn't finish his sentence before freezing in place, rememering the feeling of dread that had washed over him as he looked into Hali's scarlet eyes.

"And...I couldn't do anything." The younger boy finished, his eyes watering. He felt a firm yet gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Cy, you know it wasn't your fault, please don't blame yourself. It won't fix anything." Gempa reassured him

"..Gempa's right. We should just focus on finding out how to reverse...whatever Revbot did to Hali.." Ice piped in.

"Should I go get Hali now?" Blaze asked, trying to be a bit more helpful in the conversation

Yet it only took him a few seconds to come back rushing to the room.

"Guys! Hali isn't there!!"

"Stop it...make it stop, please make it stop.."

And of course, it didn't stop.

That loud ringing in my ears making me feel like I could go deaf.

No I don't think it was just my hearing.

My head hurts.

It hurts so bad.

But I kept running.

No idea where, I just want to get out of here.

Sweat was trickling down my forehead, my breath coming out in short, ragged gasps.

Just keep running.

I was so unfocused that I didn't even notice the tears watering out of my own eyes.
 
 
 
  
  
Right, the...Power Sphere charging room. That's what it was called right? Right. Maybe I could go there?

I didn't hesitate and sprinted all the way back to that room in a few seconds.

Opening the door and closing shut just as fast..

My legs gave out.

My body hit the cold, hard floor.

I finally noticed those tears of mine, yet I paid no mind to it.

Why should I?

I couldn't stop that pained sob which escaped my lips.

I just want to go home.

"If there's one thing I've learned, home isn't a physical place. It can be anywhere, as long as you're with the people you care about."
 
"Always remember that, Hali. Cause you'll be stuck with us from now on!"

 
 


"C-Cy..." My voice wasn't audible, drowned out by my heavy breathing.

Looking back, I definetly regret making myself go to sleep.
