Then it happened on March 20th of 1939 the same day Mussolini began his African campaign towards Egypt, and Austria and Hungary, Bohemia, Moravia, Bukovina, Transylvania, Carniola, Küstenland, Dalmatia, Croatia, Fiume, and Galicia (reformed into the people's republic of Austria-Hungry) invaded The German Reich who's only ally at the moment was Spain as the Weimar Republic declared war against the people's republic of Austria-Hungry) lead by Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel
Joseph Stalin was surprised by this "False" People's Republic but stayed neutral and got reports about the war from his office.
