It has been a couple days since I got adopted. I have just been playing games with Connor and helping around the house, But today we were going to the zoo!! "Alright everyone into the car" Dad said

"Coming!!" Connor and I yelled, and we jumped into the car. I was so excited! We started driving to the zoo

"Mom, can we get the animal cookie?!?!!" Connor exclaimed

"I don't know about Ashley getting some, but you can get some, my favorite son!" Mom said

"Why can't I get anything?" I asked

"Because you broke Dad's and my wedding glasses" Mom explained

"Oh, I didn't realize that," I mumbled. But it didn't seem fair these past days Connor has just been playing video games and not doing anything.

"We are here!" Dad cheered, We walked in through the gates. I was memorized by all the animal's and the habitats

"Oh my gosh! There is the new animal rollercoaster, it is where you can ride on a rollercoaster and see all the animals!!" Connor cheered

"Cool!!" I said excitedly

"I will buy tickets!" Mom said

"That will be 12$ per rider" The guy at the booth said

"12 dollars? That is 48 dollars for a rollercoaster ride" Mom said, annoyed

"Ugh, just Ashley you can stay here and watch the birds..." Mom said

"But can't you or dad stay, I am one of the kids!" I said sadly

"Yes, but we want to experience this with Connor!" Mom said, irritated.

"Okay..." I said with some tears. I watched Mom, Dad and Connor cheering and screaming on the rollercoaster. I feel like something is wrong. I just did one wrong thing and suddenly I can't do anything fun, I have to do Connor's chores and even more. Come to think of it, the orphanage was more fun than this.

"That was amazing!!!" Connor cheered

"Cool, can we go home now?" I asked

"Ugh! Fine, we can go back but stop being such a fun drowner," Dad said. On the way home, I was wondering what the other kids were doing at the orphanage, and a wave of nostalgia washed over me. A tear rolled down my cheek, wishing I was never adopted.
