"It seems you knew Mrs. Jones pretty well, Mr. Martin." Mrs. Davinson said in the most chilling voice he's ever heard leave someone's mouth. She reaches under the collar of her shirt with a smile and pulls out the necklace he noticed last time they encountered each other.
When the pendant of a dove with a small s engraved on the wing, hung by a thin gold chain appeared in front of her black shirt Elliots breath hitched.
"You... Y-you." Elliot tries to form a sentence.
His chest starts to feel heavy and his vision starts to blur.
No, no, no, no, no. Blue was right. Elliot thinks as his lids feel heavier and heavier by the millisecond.
Mrs. Davison says something to Elliot before she gets up but the pounding of Elliot's heart and the ringing of his ears drowns it out. The last thing Elliot observes is the faint clacking of heels against the cement floor and the sight of Mrs. Davidson, handing the officer a wad of cash with a sly smile before everything goes black.

Blue stares at Elliot as he lays on the bottom bunk, seeming lifeless. The only thing reminding Blue of his living state was the faint rise and fall of his chest and his slow pulse that Blue makes sure to check often.
Blue would be lying if he said he hadn't gotten used to Elliot's innocent questions or his sarcastic remarks that reminded him of his older brother growing up before life turned out like... well like this.
Blue reaches out the back of his hand and checks Elliots temperature. Still normal, this morning was the first time in the last three days that Elliot hasn't had a fever.
Blue turns around and checks the time and realizes it would be time for the nurse to take Elliot away. Usually it would be to put fluids in his system but today it would be them taking him away for good.
"Blue?" Elliot croaks out.
Blue's eyes widen, he turns around to see Elliot running his hand through his hair and his eyes barely open.
"Elliot?" Blue blinks several times almost in disbelief. Elliot looks at Blue with a warm smile.
"It actually worked." Blue says under his voice. Elliots smile dropped and was replaced with a look of confusion.
"Come again?" Elliot questions. Blues lips are lifted into a smirk and he shakes his head with a breathy laugh.
"I got a lot to catch you up on white boy."
THE END
A/N:
I know this story felt rushed and I'm sorry for that. This short story is based on a school project I did for English class, and I only had three days to plan and write it, all with fitting it within 4,000 words.
As I was writing a whirlwind of possibilities came to mind for these characters. So, with that I'm thinking of writing a extended version where questions are answered and you get to know Blue and Elliot more (And maybe some other characters) ;)
I don't know it's just a thought.
Thanks for reading,
Love AJ
