Now, being in space isn't all fun, while most people will say it would be a dream, it's not. While the planets and cosmos look cool, there's no life in them, just hot gas and terrain, but no life. As of right now, there was only one planet besides Earth that had life, planet Nebula. It's said that although it's one of the few planets with life, it's one of gloomiest, but most powerful. The inhabitants, the Nebulon, possess power that one could only dream of. Levitation, speed, camouflage, you name it. But the Nebulon that possessed the most power was their King Zarynx and his two children, Princess Phoenix and Prince Sonar.

The 14 year old Nebulan princess groaned in frustration when she heard her twin brother enter her room for the 10th time.

Phoenix: Sonar, what is your problem?! I'm trying to read!

Sonar: Lighten up, sis, seems like you're no fun!

Phoenix: Well, can't you play with your teleportation gun elsewhere? Why Dad gave you that thing is beyond me.

The mischievous prince only stuck his tongue out and continued shooting portals around and bouncing from one to the next. The princess had enough and levitated the gun into a crater outside their castle.

Sonar: Hey!!!

Two portals suddenly appeared below the children's feet and it wasn't from the portal gun. They fell through them landing flat on their faces. When they got up, they saw they were in the king's throne room. Their father, King Zarynx, had a serious expression plastered onto his face.

Phoenix: Dad?

Sonar: Oh come on, Dad! Is this about the space gloop?! I said I was sorry!

But the king had something else in mind rather than his son's mischiefs.

Zarynx: Follow me, you two.

Phoenix and Sonar glanced at each other and shrugged before following their father to a separate room. The king opened a drawer and took out a map of the galaxy laying it on a table, then he pointed out a window for his children to see.

Zarynx: What do you see out there?

Phoenix and Sonar glanced at the colorless planet they inhabited, despite the Nebulon being full of bright colors, it was the opposite for their home.

Sonar: ...I see a rock.

Phoenix slapped her brother's cheek.

Phoenix: You idiot! He means the color!!!

Sonar: What?! No he doesn't!

Zarynx: Your sister's right, Sonar. There's no color on our planet, nothing bright.

Sonar: Unless you count gray as a color!

Zarynx: WHICH I DON'T!!!!

Phoenix gave her brother a smirk and he just rolled his eyes. Their father showed them the map he had just pulled up earlier. There were many planets crossed off except for one: Earth 🌎

Phoenix: Earth? But Dad, you said you wouldn't be caught dead on that planet.

Zarynx: One must do what they can to get what they want, dear.

Phoenix didn't like the sound of that. She's known since childhood that her father liked to play dirt to be satisfied. The king gazed down at the map with a wicked smirk.

Zarynx: Bringing color to our planet will finally give the Nebulon a purpose, we'll no longer just be a floating stone in space.

Sonar: Bringing color?

Zarynx: Yes, the only way to do that is to drain it from the most colorful, joyous inhabitant.

Phoenix: What...?

Zarynx: Exactly, and my sensors are picking that up...right on Earth.

When the king went to his computer, Phoenix started having a lot of thoughts.

Phoenix: Dad...won't that hurt them?

Zarynx: Yes, but don't worry, you'll get what you want soon enough, the both of you will.

Sonar: Oh sick, Dad! I love it!

But Phoenix wasn't so sure, her dad's plan just sounded like pure torture. But what she didn't know was that her father had his eyes on a certain queen...

Zarynx: ZARA!!!!!

The king's assistant barged into the room, she was out of breath and had a bunch of documents in her hair.

Zara: Yes sir, do you need me?! Is there a problem in the throne room?!

Phoenix has known Zara for a long time, and knew her dad liked to order her around a lot. But with his new plan in motion, she could only stand idly by.

Zarynx: Get the UFOs ready, we're going to take a little field trip...
