Chapter 10

The mother ship finally arrived at the home planet, the Nebula were completely oblivious to Rhonda following behind them. Branch and the others stepped out and gazed at the planet. Unlike its inhabitants, it was colorless and had no life.

Viva: This is their home? It's so...gray.

John Dory: Sound familiar?

Branch: Hey!

John Dory: Sheesh, I was just kidding!

Viva took in the surroundings and wiped a tear that escaping from her eye.

Clay: Viva?

Viva felt Clay put his hand on her shoulder.

Clay: You okay?

Viva: ...I'm just worried about Poppy, this place is huge and...she could be anywhere.

Floyd: Viva's right, it could take us days just to find Poppy.

Branch: Hey, hey, hey, no! Not on my watch! We're getting Poppy back and we're not giving up until we find her!

Spruce suddenly grabbed Branch by the face with both hands.

Spruce: Who are you and what have you done with Bitty B?!

Branch: Get offa me.

Poppy struggled to free herself from the guards' grip, but they had a tight grip on her tiny body.

Zarynx: You thought you could escape, didn't you?

Poppy: Get your hands off me! I'll fight you right now if I have to, I'm not scared of you!

Zarynx: Fear not, child, this'll be over quick, I promise.

Poppy was suddenly dragged into the Nebulan palace. She was tossed into a troll sized cage and locked inside. She looked up at the Nebulan king with a strong glare.

Poppy: What's your plan, sticky fingers?!

Zarynx: Oh that's right, I never explained it, how silly of me. You see, Queen Poppy, my planet has been in zero color for many centuries and overtime, people have forgotten that we even existed. Our planet became nothing more than a luster stone floating in space! And the only way to bring color to it is to take it from the happiest, most colorful being in the galaxy! You.

Those words chilled Poppy to the bone, all this over nothing?

Poppy: So that's what this is about?! Getting noticed?! You captured me on my birthday, endangered all of my friends, my boyfriend, my father, my sister, and destroyed our village just so you could get attention?!

Sonar: ...Yup, pretty much.

Poppy: You're pure evil! You don't have to do this, if you just wanted to be noticed, we would've welcomed you with open arms and become friends! But instead, you just got hostile about it?! You're sick! Very very sick!

Sonar: Thanks, Barbie. You're not too bad yourself.

That did it.

Poppy: Barbie?!?!

As Sonar turned to leave, Poppy extended her hair towards him throttling him by the neck.

Sonar: Hey! Let go of me...!

Poppy: CALL ME THAT ONE MORE TIME!!!!

Sonar: Barbie...! Barbie!!! There, I said it!!!!

Poppy pinned the spoiled prince to the wall with her hair.

Poppy: Take it back!!! TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!

Sonar: Never...!!!

Poppy: TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Zarynx: ENOUGH!!!!

The king zapped Poppy with his staff and she got knocked back. She curled up into a little ball and clutched her chest whimpering softly.

Zarynx: I thought I could go easy on you, but I guess that's not happening! Like it or not, you'll have your color AND your essence extracted tonight!

Poppy: W-What...?!

Zarynx: My decision is final!

Poppy watched as Zarynx and Sonar left, leaving her in confinement. She sat down bringing her knees to her chest and folding her arms on top. She then buried her face in her arms sobbing silently. Where was Branch? Right now, he was her only hope...
