AN: Sorry it's really short! I did it In math class lmao.
You were shocked to say the least, not expecting a pro hero to take the train home. but that's not the point, you needed to apologize for the other day!
"Hey, Aizawa?" you tapped his shoulder lightly, trying to catch his attention. "Can I talk to you?"
You watched him as he turned to look at you. His eyes met yours momentarily and then immediately glanced away, betraying nothing. After a long moment, he nodded.
"What is it?" he asked flatly.
"It's about the other day, I wanted to apologize for upsetting you."
"you didn't upset me, I just- whatever, I accept your apology" he muttered, refusing to meet your gaze.
"Aizawa!" you snapped suddenly, surprising him enough to make him turn his attention back towards you. "I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable!"
"it wasn't anything big, really, i just-"
"I shouldn't have been paying attention to things that weren't important," you continued, cutting him off. "and I shouldn't have been asking questions if you were uncomfortable!"
"that's not true," he replied defensively, his brows knitting together in confusion, his expression bordering on anger.
"then why did you push me away?! you don't even want to listen to me, and then suddenly you're mad because i tried to initiate small talk when I invited you for dinner!" You could feel your voice rising with each word that escaped your lips, and the anger coursing through your veins only fed the flames. gaining a few stares in the process.
He blinked in surprise and then broke eye contact with you, looking somewhat ashamed. "i guess that does sound kinda rude..."
A silence fell between you two, and then. . .
"Sorry" the two of you said in unison.
"Oh my god..." you muttered, laughing slightly. You could feel a wave of embarrassment roll over you, a flush spreading across your cheeks."I can't believe I said all that... I am so sorry."
he let out an almost inaudible chuckle. "... i guess we both need some serious improvement. huh?"
"yeah, I guess so, how about we try that dinner again on Saturday?" she offered "I can-"
"I'll cook" he interrupted "I took you for granted last time, I don't want to risk doing it again"
