Everywhere, Everything by Noah Kahan

04/30/22

Five hours turned to eight. Eight hours turned to ten, then to twelve, then to fourteen. Fourteen hours of nonstop working. I was originally scheduled from 4am-9am. Then we had a callout and I had to finish her shift since she had already told me she was running late. That added another three hours. Then my coworker called out for her shift from 12pm-6pm, so theres the leftover six hours since literally nobody wanted to come in today.

I haven't eaten since three this morning. I didn't get a break at work today. I had plans with Will and ended up not fucking showing out of nowhere so he's probably pissed at me. And now, now my car is fucking stalling out because I have no fucking gas. It's dark and people are speeding past me and I'm gonna freak the fuck out.

Calling Goldilocks...

"Hiya, darlin'. What can I do for ya?"

"I have no gas in my car somehow and I need help and I'm on the side of the fucking road and- please help me." I ranted, biting my lip as to keep from both crying and lashing out on Will.

"I'll be there love." He said quickly.

"Thank you." I whispered before hanging up the call and sitting in my car. I hit the steering wheel a few times before harshly leaning my head against the top of it. I took a few deep breaths to make the tears in my eyes just fucking go away. It worked for a moment, focusing on just grounding myself. I heard a car stop in front of mine and looked up.

that's not Will.

"Harmony! Are you okay?" Jeremiah asked, running to the car as I got out.

"My boyfriend's on his way to help me, I'm fine." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Alright, well I'll wait for him with you." Jeremiah said, leaning against the hood of my car. I took a deep breath so i wouldn't fucking lose it. I didn't respond, just stayed in place until i saw headlights from behind my car. I heard the door open and that was my cue to book it.

"Hey, sweet- okay." He said, cutting himself off as my body collided with his and my tears started to make his shirt wet. I couldn't keep it together.

"You can leave now, mate." I heard another guy speak. I pulled away and glanced to my side and saw a blonde i knew as Phil. Well, kind of knew. Knew of, i guess.

"You didn't tell me others were coming with you! I would have changed! I wouldn't- I would have called Steph! I'm sorry! Oh my god!" I sobbed even harder.

"Are you okay?" Phil asked, walking over to us. "Will! What did you do?!"

"What?! Nothing!"

"I'm sure you did nothing." Jeremiah spoke sarcastically.

"Go the fuck away, Jeremiah! You're ruining everything once again!" I screamed. He looked taken aback and retreated to his car, no words said.

"I'm putting gas in your car, now." Will spoke quietly, walking to his car and then to mine.

"It's not what it looks like!" I cried, feeling too overwhelmed for any of this to be going on.

"Do you need a hug love?" Phil asked, tone soft and father like. It made me cry even harder as I nodded. He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders and I sobbed into his, letting my arms cross against my chest.

"Your cars all filled up, love. Did you want to come back to mine?" Will asked, rubbing a hand up and down my back to extra comfort. Phil pulled back and I nodded. Will wrapped an arm around my shoulder and pulled me into him. "Phil, can you drive my car back?"

"Sure thing." Phil said, catching the keys Will threw at him. Phil retreated to Will's car while he walked me to mine. We drove back to his house as I calmed down from my incessant crying. I felt drained and tired when walking inside, but luckily Will and I just laid on the couch.

"I wanna wear your fake glasses." I said, sitting up and grabbing them off of his face. He laughed as I laid back down. I scrolled through my phone as the man rubbed my damn feet because they hurt. He rubbed my damn feet. I'd never do that for him and I hope he knows that. I'm not a bitch, just hate feet. He's a real one though. Soon enough I closed my eyes and knocked the fuck out on the couch.
