College is a crazy place. The first month of being there was gone in an instant as if clocks no longer worked, hours gone within seconds and now everything was just a memory. It's like all those assignments as a business major was years ago but still haunts you.
For instance, on the second week of school, you already had a speech to give and wear a business pantsuit then you were assigned to interview someone successful in corporate which was mandatory for the class and every business major has to attend the upcoming career fairs and communicate with the workers present since that was mandatory as well. It was all draining.
But in the meantime, during that lunch period where it's all gloomy outside and you're in a cozy coffee shop near campus with your childhood friends where you are all regulars about to redirect your energy and retain yourselves and feel at ease but that never happens.
As soon as you and your friends navigated through the café, humming along to the soft jazz music in the background and already feeling welcomed by the botanical beauty growing on the wall and expanding to the staircase leading upstairs. Also, you love watching the locals gather over steaming beverages and freshly baked pastries by every table you walk pass.
"Are you finally going to work on your huge business project today, [ Name ]?" Hitoka inquired as she noticed you take a notebook out your tote bag and onto the circular, wooden table.
"Might as well," You reply and took a seat in front of your other childhood friend, Keiji Akaashi. "I just hope I can concentrate and refrain from viewing myself in other people's perspective."
"Yeah and that hasn't been going well for you at all, now has it?" Keiji chuckled out and ran a hand through the tuft of his jet-black hair. His piercing blue eyes never looked away from your [e/c] ones as a slight smirk curled onto his lips.
