Alaric sits alone in front of a low-level dungeon, the horns disperse from his head as he grunts, feeling the burning pain from using that wyvern's power at an all-time high.
"Excellent, boy..." Growls the beast in his mind, as Alaric sighs,
"You know I'm only doing this to gain more experience with that fire stuff you have, right?" Alaric hoped his message got through, but the beast chuckled, admiring the boy's stubbornness,
"For all I know... You seem to appreciate my... Gift... Life is short for me, despite my long life, I can die at any moment with or without my pack..." The wyvern growls, gloating by its power to live this long even in its elderly years.
"And that means... Someone shall take my place... But, I will live on through the boy who allowed me to live... To see another day... You know, we might seem like wild beasts, and we are... But we have families too... In fact, my children's young have grown strong for juveniles! Perfect heirs to my legacy, hahaha!" The wyvern laughed, the boy concerned, wondering,
"And if you do die? Will you ever speak again?" Alaric wondered, the wyvern silent, smirking its toothy smile,
"Of course, I would... My power is linked to you now, we have become one through our contract... I've grown stronger since... I am keeping my place for the best of the best to come! Your mana is a bucket of large untapped potential! Possibly greater than Laplace himself!" The beast laughed, the boy getting up, heading back to Ranoa with a bag of loot lifted over his shoulder,
"And you made a pact with me just for you to pass on your title?"
"Bingo... It isn't easy being a wyvern in a world... Where others far younger can kill you at any moment! I am lucky I've found my pack, my people, my subordinates! We are stronger together than separately... My voice gives them the courage to fight, and the will to clash with other wyverns from different regions... And find strong-blooded men like you... My point is, nobody can handle such might without proper might themselves, and you just so happened to be the perfect vessel to hold my power even after... Well..." The wyvern stopped, realizing he'd spill it, he chuckled,
"Case and point, you are worthy of my power. Don't forget it, boy!" The wyvern stroked its ego, as Alaric states,
"Yeah yeah, and what, is it because I am THE Water Saint chosen by Reida Reia to train under her? I have about 2 years left, it's been months since classes started!" Alaric says that it has been about a year since he became 13 years old.

"Sweet... 5 Gold Coins for beating that dungeon!" Alaric was happy about the rewards, as he wandered the streets, the university having some homes, and a market for special items unique to the area. Well, more so homemade,
"Potions, potions! Get your potions!"
"These flowers bloom just outside of Ranoa! Rare, valuable, perfect gifts for mothers or lovers!"
The place was blooming with people especially after the students came back. The weekends were especially great for its days off, as Ariel, well...
She sips tea with Fitz and Luke, discussing other plans.
"... I should buy Sylphy something, huh?" Alaric wondered as she did come and help with song dungeon raids as support. Her spells, although not advanced, are powerful despite being of lower level. She uses them like an experienced mage, although she did stay with Ariel as a guard...
"Ah, a swordsman! Welcome, welcome boy! Might I ask your ranks, student of Ranoa?" A man wondered, many blades behind him, he must be a merchant.
"Water Saint, sir," Alaric explained, the man a bit... Taken aback.
