Chapter One

[before eleven and before will goes missing]

November 12th, 1983.

There was slight movement coming from the bundles of blankets surrounding Micheal Wheeler's couch. M/n was the first to wake up, yawning softly. Yet he didn't open his eyes just yet, he hummed softly in response to more movement, he was half asleep. He gently curled up to whoever he had fallen asleep by, which resulted in the two preteens cuddling. M/n would fall back asleep, while someone else would wake up. That someone was Micheal Wheeler, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, sitting up a little while he looked to his side. There he saw M/n peacefully asleep, he smiled slightly, placing the blanket over his friend before Micheal stood up and walked over to the bathroom that resided within the basement.

After Micheal was done with the bathroom, he walked out while he wiped his wet hands clean on some paper towels before he looked over at his group of friends who were all still fast asleep. Micheal had a soft smile on his lips, he quietly walked back over to his original spot, cuddling with M/n once again while he slowly fell back asleep. Today would be a very lazy sunday. But that would all be ruined when a voice called from the top of the stairs. "Mike!!" Micheal's mother, Karen shouted. That caused the group of preteens to wake up with sleepy groans. "What!" Micheal called back up to his mother.

M/n woke up with a sleepy grunt, rubbing the sleep from his eyes while he sat up in the small bundle of blankets. He opened his eyes sleepily, looking over to Micheal who only smiled softly. Lucas and Dustin woke up at the same time, Dustin picked up his sleepy head, wiping the small bit of drool from the corner of his mouth. Lucas only looked a little disgusted but he didn't seem to mind too much. The last to wake was Will, he was the most exhausted and held onto a teddy bear. The group of boys all woke up sleepily, while Micheal walked up the basement steps to talk to his mother.

"Man, I slept like a baby.." M/n said with a soft chuckle, Lucas nodded in agreement. "I don't think I've ever slept that good." Dustin said with a smile, Will only remained quiet and walked off to the bathroom. "Yeah, I think I'm gonna ask Mike if I can stay over tonight." M/n said before he stood up and stretched. "Okay, okay!" Mike said from the top of the stairs, racing down them. "My mom's making breakfast, and after she said she's going to let all of us hangout before like...8:30pm." Mike said to his friends, he looked around for a second, "Where's Will?" He questioned. "Bathroom." Lucas responded.

"Okay.." Mike mumbled, he stepped over towards the table that had all of the group's DnD items on it, "So, after breakfast we start the new campaign?" Mike said in a question. "I think that'd be alright.." Will spoke up, standing next to his twin brother, M/n. "Yeah, this campaign's gonna be cool as shit anyways" Dustin said with a wide smile. "Yeah, so uh...I'm gonna go see if Mrs. Wheeler made breakfast yet." M/n said, now turning and walking up the basement steps. Will went to follow, but Lucas gently held him back and the two boys went to go do their own thing.

After a long while, the boys started their campaign. The five boys excitedly yelled during their plays, Micheal played the role of Dungeon Master, and made everything really exciting. M/n wasn't really interested in the fantasy game, but he played for the sake of his twin brother Will. M/n only participated sometimes during the campaign, his character died early on so he only laid onto the couch and watched them all play. He smiled softly when he saw how excited his friends were, it didn't take long for M/n to roll over and fall asleep on the small couch.

Almost an hour later M/n would wake up, he simply yawned while he stretched his arms above his head. He rolled over a little and saw that only Mike was there, M/n became curious. "Where's Will?" M/n questioned, he rubbed his eyes a little while he waited for a response. "Oh everyone left, my mom called your mom to let her know that you're sleeping, Ms. Byers didn't mind.." Mike responded, he looked over at M/n with a small smile. "Oh okay.." M/n said a little awkwardly.

M/n eventually got off the couch and followed Mike up to his bedroom, the two are used to sharing the same bed since they've done it since first grade. M/n climbed inside of the soft sheets, relaxing almost instantly. Mike kept a smile while he laid down beside M/n, "You okay?" Mike asked softly, his hand subconsciously rubbing M/n's back, it was an affectionate yet clingy gesture. M/n nodded while he looked towards Mike, "Yeah...Just a little tired is all..." M/n mumbled. "You sure..?" Mike asked. M/n sighed a little, he turned on his side so he faced Mike. "I'm okay, Mike...you don't gotta worry about me.." M/n said, "But I do...after what happened... I just...I'm worried about you." Mike said, he brought M/n into a hug for comfort. "I know, I know...but I'm okay now...That's what matters, right?" M/n said.

"Yeah...That matters.." Mike mumbled, he sighed softly while he hugged M/n while they laid next to each other in the bed. A few minutes of silence pass by, only to be interrupted by M/n's small giggle. "This is so gay.." M/n said with a giggle, Mike only giggled and rolled his eyes. "No it's not!" Mike said with a smile.
