Faye struggled to move her body, but it was as if her limbs had turned to lead. She cautiously opened her eyes and realized that she was in a hospital room. Faye felt scared, as she knew that an overdose was the reason behind her current situation. Her thoughts were all over the place, and she felt an overwhelming sense of guilt and self-blame. She couldn't point fingers at anyone but herself, as the cause of her suffering was clearly her own actions.

She was so humiliated

Amari was struck with fear and anxiety as he saw his younger sister Faye lying in bed, visibly struggling to even move. Not wasting any time, he jumped up from his seat and ran to her side. "Faye?- you okay?" Amari muttered in concern, noticing how painful it seemed for her to even speak.

Faye nodded slowly, her throat too dry and stomach too empty to even voice a response. It was as if she hadn't eaten in weeks, leaving her with little energy to even move. "You were in the hospital for like three..four days," Amari said, shaking his head. He was worried sick about Faye and couldn't understand why she would put herself through such a dangerous situation. Feeling compelled to help her, he reached out and grabbed her hand.

"Why would you..." Amari asked, his voice dripping with worry and concern. He was desperate to understand why his sister would put herself in such a life-threatening position. The uncertainty of the situation was heightening the anxiety and fear that Amari was feeling, making him feel helpless and worried for his sister's safety.

Faye's heart pounded as her grandparents entered the room with a nurse, the reality of her situation sinking in. When she heard her grandmother call out her name, she could feel her body tremble. She nodded slowly, unable to muster any more energy than that.

The nurse approached her bed and looked over her vitals. "Faye, it's time to go home," she said gently. Faye felt a wave of relief wash over her, but it was quickly replaced by a sense of anxiety and fear. She didn't feel ready to face the world again, but she knew she had to. She let the nurse help her out of bed, grateful for the support as they made their way out of the hospital.
